Position Summary:
Reporting to the Chief Program and Development Officer, the Marketing and Communications Manager is a crucial role designed to enhance the Development Team’s ability to maintain high standards of excellence in all external/internal communications and marketing. The Marketing and Communications Manager will lead strategies that strengthen SNAHC’s brand, increase community engagement, support fundraising and advocacy efforts, and ensure consistent, culturally grounded messaging across all internal and external communication channels. The position includes development, design, and execution of internal and external communications, including advertising, service and program marketing materials, community-led campaigns, outreach and signature events, and SNAHC media platforms.

Essential Functions:
- Manage Marketing and Communications Team members including part-time outreach staff. Management duties include recruiting, onboarding, timekeeping, performance evaluations, coaching and progressive discipline as needed, using SNAHC prescribed best practices.
- Establish and oversee budgets for marketing and communication activities.
- Develop and manage relationships with marketing vendors and freelance creative team.
- Market and promote SNAHC and its cultural and education programs.
- Manage and expand social media initiatives.
- Create and execute social marketing and paid advertising campaigns, including developing campaign strategies for new initiatives.
- Oversee the day-to-day planning and management of all communication work products and processes, including the writing, editing, and distribution of SNAHC communications materials (e.g., flyers, brochures, newsletters, website copy, and promotional and marketing materials)
- Actively participate in relevant industry meetings to increase SNAHC’s visibility and voice; help place SNAHC leadership as speakers on relevant programs or workshops.
- Utilize a variety of organic and paid acquisition channels.
- Organize, attend, and lead SNAHC signature and outreach events.
- Support the SNAHC Board of Directors and Executive Leadership Team in completing strategic priorities and activities: Establish and report on industry relevant key performance indicators to measure campaign success, track audience engagement, and adjust strategies accordingly.
- In conjunction with Executive Leadership, proactively manages issues that may affect our reputation internally, externally, or with key partners and suppliers, including patient concerns, employee wellness initiatives, and media relations.
- Coordinate internal communication strategies, including staff announcements, organizational updates, and leadership messaging.
- Serve as a key advisor and agency-wide messenger during urgent operational or public relations issues.
- Ensure all communications reflect SNAHC’s purpose, values, and Native-centered approach, and support the organization’s strategic priorities related to patient centered delivery system.
- Abide by industry best practices (e.g. proper PPE, ergonomic posture, etc.) to maintain a safe working environment; report safety issues or concerns to your supervisor or the Safety Officer immediately; review Safety and Health plans, understand, and ask questions regarding safe practices in work areas.
- Participate in internal quality improvement teams. Works with team members proactively to drive quality improvement initiatives in accordance with the mission and strategic goals for the organization, federal and state laws and regulations, and accreditation standards.
- Comply with all state and federal laws and regulations, as they pertain to the position including; HIPAA, sexual harassment, Scope of Practice, OSHA, SCAR reporting, etc.
- Leads in internal quality improvement teams. Works with team members proactively to drive quality improvement initiatives in accordance with the mission and strategic goals for the organization, federal and state laws and regulations, and accreditation standards.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum five years of experience in marketing, at least three of which are at the supervisory or lead level, either at an agency or in-house or equivalent relevant educational experience, or a combination of experience and education.
- Experience working collaboratively with high level leaders on communications and marketing initiatives, preferably in a healthcare environment.
- Ability to respond adeptly to rapidly changing priorities and ability to work well under pressure.
- Extremely detail oriented and organized, with the strong ability to successfully multi-task as necessary or requested.
- Proven experience with the successful use of social media and paid advertising for marketing.
- Experience organizing and leading community, outreach, or signature events.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Extensive computer skills including intermediate or higher level of proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word) and experience working with electronic donor tracking systems/ databases.
- Ability to lead multiple long and short-term projects simultaneously, meeting all related deadlines with the ability to plan, prioritize, coordinate, and manage their own work.
- Proven ability to work unsupervised and to make decisions and solve problems independently, effectively and creatively.
