What You’ll Do 

CPA is seeking a detailed-oriented and highly motivated professional to join our team in the  role of Project Manager, Communications and Marketing. The Project Manager, Communications and Marketing will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating  marketing initiatives and  campaigns to drive brand awareness, support program enrollment, and grow understanding of CPA throughout the communities we serve in Los Angeles and Ventura counties. This role is responsible for executing and monitoring creative and technical projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and meet the goals and objectives of CPA.

The Project Manager will work under the supervision of the Senior Manager, Marketing and Digital Strategy and will work closely with cross-functional teams including Communications and Marketing, Customer Programs, Government Affairs, as well as external consultants to effectively implement a wide range of external facing projects.

Requirements
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Project Management:  Responsible for developing and maintaining marketing campaign plans, production schedules, creative and technical project deliverables, and workflow processes. Oversee marketing deliverables, and coordinate campaign  reporting for internal and external stakeholders. Manage project tracking systems and reporting related to newly created or existing metrics, budgets, contractor scopes of work, and deliverables to ensure compliance and timely achievement of project goals. Develop and refine operational processes, evaluate stakeholder and customer feedback, and implement improvements to enhance campaign performance and efficiency. Lead cross-functional coordination to ensure marketing initiatives progress efficiently, risks are addressed proactively, and deliverables are completed on schedule. 
  • Budget Management: Manage project budget(s) and participate in departmental annual budgeting activities including forecasting, allocation, and tracking. Manage the financial workflow for assigned integrated marketing projects, including coordinating estimates, routing approvals, tracking expenditures, and maintaining accurate budget projections. Monitor project burn rates, identify potential budget risks or variances, and proactively communicate adjustments needed to keep projects on track. Review vendor estimates against similar projects to ensure pricing is appropriate, consistent, and aligned with budget expectations. 
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external vendors and agencies to support the successful execution of integrated marketing initiatives.  Oversee vendors scopes of work, timelines, deliverables, and communication workflows to ensure alignment with creative briefs, brand standards, program visual identities, and communications guidelines, maintaining the highest quality throughout execution. 
  • Content Management: Oversee marketing workflows, campaign assets, and content management processes. Manage activities related to the ongoing development, enhancement, storage, and retention of content workflows within various applications (e.g., Wrike, SharePoint, Smartsheet). Serve as a subject matter expert and provide support and guidance to new team members and agency partners to ensure consistent, effective use of content. Responsible for fostering cross-functional collaboration and accountability on projects being managed.  
  • Data Analytics: Manage the collection, analysis, and communication  campaign data to support project oversight and strategic planning. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop data collection approaches and reporting frameworks that support the integrated marketing dashboard including Program, Board and Committee reporting (e.g., quarterly board reports), internal program updates (e.g., bi-weekly program reporting), and decision making.   
  • Strategic Analysis: Oversee the tracking and evaluation of  campaign metrics. Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and analyses that provide operational insights and recommendations to support project improvements. Analyze  campaign outcomes and operational data to inform recommendations for improvements and support decision-making related to implementation activities and project effectiveness. 
  • Continuous Improvement: Create, enhance, document, and recommend continuous improvement initiatives across marketing campaign plans, production schedules, creative and technical project deliverables, and workflow processes. Responsible for issue resolution for active projects, schedules, project deliverables, and proposing solutions to leadership, that enable the team to scale and improve.

Qualifications 

  • A bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience.  
  • Integrated marketing project management experience (required). 
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field (preferred).  

Work Location   

This position is eligible for either Hybrid or Remote options. The Hybrid option requires attendance in our Downtown Los Angeles office on a full-time basis 2- 3 days per week on days determined by CPA, with work location on the remaining days either in office or remote. This includes a transportation allowance. The Remote option requires you to be available to attend full-time in office days and/or field events within Los Angeles and Ventura Counties in accordance with the needs of the company that may start as early as 8:30am at least 2 days per week. The Remote & Hybrid options require full-time in-person attendance at organization or team-wide events 3 times per year for 3-5 days per event. All staff are required to work during CPA’s office hours Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm PST.       


Benefits

The salary range for this position is $90,743.24-$136,114.86, with exact compensation to be determined by Clean Power Alliance, dependent on experience. Benefits include health care, a 401(k)-like match program, paid vacation, and sick leave. This is not a civil service position; however, all CPA employees are required to submit a Statement of Economic Interests form, also known as the Form 700.
