POSITION SUMMARY
The position is responsible for leading the marketing analytics practice that provides business insights, campaign analytics, and data mining that drives strategy and results across Alterra. The Marketing Analytics Manager provides leadership and management of the marketing analytics platform, key analytic report/dashboard generation, modeling projects, and data processes from the customer database to the analytics platform. The Marketing Analytics Manager maintains a roadmap and vision for the marketing analytics team and manages and prioritizes incoming projects. This position provides leadership and guidance to direct reports.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
General Responsibilities

Lead the approach and analysis of customer and marketing data to understand, predict, and influence customer behavior through marketing.

Manage projects and relationships with key vendors related to marketing analytics, including technical vendors responsible for development and enhancement of the data platform.

Lead and facilitate projects within direct marketing to include target market optimization, A/B test design and analysis, consumer segmentation, metric forecasting, and sales analysis.

Provide leadership, strategy, and vision for tracking and measuring the results of CRM (email and direct mail) campaigns, providing results and key insights for future strategy.

Lead the effort to build guest profiles and segmentation to understand our guests and improve targeting efforts.

Manage a team of direct reports comprised of marketing analysts and data scientists.

Create presentations and weekly reports that illustrate key performance indicators through charts, tables, and other visual aids using software such as Tableau or other data visualization software. Anticipate which reports and presentations should be developed next and assist in socialization of insights.

Provide technical and strategic guidance and leadership to marketing analysts and lead the priorities of the marketing analytics team. This includes troubleshooting analysis, leading best practices for data viz, maintaining a body of knowledge about the business, etc.

Coordinate statistical analysis and predictive modeling to ensure the integration of those tools into the marketing programs.

Advise internal partners with regards to patterns and relationships in the data to recommend business direction or outcomes.

Manage cross functional relationships and coordinate enterprise-wide programs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years of experience in marketing analytics, data analytics, data warehousing, or related field.

Experience leading a team of high performing data analysts.

Must have the ability to extract, transform and manipulate data and create data visualizations and derive insights from raw or structured data sets.

Experience manipulating data with software such as Tableau and/or Excel is required and a background in a programming language such as SQL, Python, or R is preferred.

Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally across all levels of the organization.

Ability to effectively present information to management, employees, and customers.

Ability to proactively prioritize needs, put first things first, and effectively manages resources and time.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

BS/BA in economics, mathematics, statistics, computer science or related quantitative fields; or equivalent combination of education and experience
The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the Alterra Mtn Co Shared Services Inc. salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Alterra Mtn Co Shared Services Inc.’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.
Denver area base salary range: $100,000 - $140,000 per year
