Job Summary:
Responsible for closely monitoring market and industry trends utilizing Salesforce for strategic planning and marketing strategy. Provide objective, in-depth information about current and future markets and competitive forces. Provide expertise in current and future competitive drivers in the marketplace for health, dental, vision and other benefits. Specialize in market research, analysis, content development, and execution, focused on actionable deliverables. This position reports to Director, Market Strategy Development and will be a key contributor across a wide range of strategic projects, specifically Salesforce maintenance and audit.
- Conduct large scale, complex analysis projects, applying expert analytical methodologies to deliver insight into market forces and dynamics.
- Collect, interpret and communicate industry and market trends from primary and secondary sources with minimal supervision and develop actionable analysis and recommendations based on research.
- Compile and maintain database of market intelligence and corresponding deliverables.
- Produce standard department reports and metrics, including market share reporting on a regular basis.
- Implement standard market data collection processes that can be utilized by sales and other departments to gather market intelligence from multiple sources.
- Contribute to sharing of best practices and continuous improvement across the department.
- Proactively identify opportunities to collaborate with internal partners to aid in developing new analyses to support development of marketing and sales strategies and tactics
Education/Experience:
- Minimum high school diploma or GED
- Prefers Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in Marketing, Business Administration or related field.
- Requires two (2) years' experience in strategic analysis, competitive/market intelligence and/or data analysis.
- Prefers a minimum of two (2) years' experience in the healthcare industry, either as an employee or consultant
- Experience with Salesforce highly preferred
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of primary and secondary research and competitive intelligence methodologies and techniques. Experience working with leading industry research and data portals.
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to analyze large data sets, identify insights, and synthesize how these insights impact business decisions.
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to distill technical information into consumable reports for internal partners.
- Solid interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills required. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively to a wide range of audiences, including executives, product managers, product developers and client-facing teams.
- Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional business teams.
- Ability to work independently, with limited supervision, to perform multiple complex and often unique work assignments.
- Positive, team-first, results-driven attitude.
- Self-motivated, highly organized individual with strong attention to detail.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of statistics or other quantitative techniques or disciplines.
- Knowledge of Salesforce a plus.
- Tableau experience is highly desirable.
Salary Range:
$84,700 - $115,605
This compensation range is specific to the job level and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. This range has been created in good faith based on information known to Horizon at the time of posting. Compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case.
