The Role

Acute Care Technology

The Market Specialist, PAD is responsible for driving sales growth and increasing market penetration of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) and related products within communities through hospital foundation-driven PAD programs. This is a high-impact sales role focused on prospecting, closing new business, and maintaining strong customer relationships to achieve and exceed sales targets. Additionally, this role involves strategic partnership development with advocacy groups, hospital foundations, and community organizations to expand ZOLL’s market presence and brand awareness.
A key component of this role is working across ZOLL’s business units to communicate and cascade the ZOLL Continuum of Care and the Patient Journey Story, ensuring customers and partners understand the full spectrum of ZOLL’s life-saving solutions, from prevention and emergency response to hospital and post-acute care.
Additionally, this role will collaborate with the PulsePoint Foundation, an organization dedicated to leveraging technology to engage communities in lifesaving activities. This partnership will help expand public awareness and adoption of AEDs through innovative alert systems, ensuring rapid response to sudden cardiac arrest events.

The Market Specialist, PAD is responsible for driving sales growth and increasing market penetration of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) and related products within communities through hospital foundation-driven PAD programs. This is a high-impact sales role focused on prospecting, closing new business, and maintaining strong customer relationships to achieve and exceed sales targets. Additionally, this role involves strategic partnership development with advocacy groups, hospital foundations, and community organizations to expand ZOLL’s market presence and brand awareness.

A key component of this role is working across ZOLL’s business units to communicate and cascade the ZOLL Continuum of Care and the Patient Journey Story, ensuring customers and partners understand the full spectrum of ZOLL’s life-saving solutions, from prevention and emergency response to hospital and post-acute care.

Additionally, this role will collaborate with the PulsePoint Foundation, an organization dedicated to leveraging technology to engage communities in lifesaving activities. This partnership will help expand public awareness and adoption of AEDs through innovative alert systems, ensuring rapid response to sudden cardiac arrest events.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Revenue Generation:

  • Drive sales of AEDs and related products to hospitals foundations, advocacy and non-profit foundations.
  • Meet and exceed sales quotas by developing a strong pipeline and closing deals.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue growth in assigned territory.
  • Conduct cold calls, in-person visits, and virtual meetings to generate new business opportunities.

Partnership & Relationship Management:

  • Identify and develop strategic partnerships with hospital foundations, advocacy groups, and community organizations.
  • Serve as a key ambassador for ZOLL Medical, communicating the company’s mission and vision to potential partners.
  • Work with hospital, EMS, CMS segment teams to establish and manage partnership programs that drive awareness and sales.
  • Track legislative initiatives and advocacy efforts that impact PAD programs and hospital foundation partnerships.
  • Work cross-functionally with ZOLL business units to align messaging and opportunities related to the entire patient journey, reinforcing how ZOLL’s solutions integrate from emergency response to recovery.
  • Engage with advocacy organizations to promote access to AEDs, training, and emergency preparedness in schools, sports programs, and community spaces.
  • Collaborate with the PulsePoint Foundation to integrate AED awareness and public response strategies into community-based life-saving initiatives.

Sales Presentations & Negotiations:

  • Deliver compelling product demonstrations and sales presentations tailored to client and partner needs.
  • Incorporate ZOLL’s Continuum of Care messaging in sales engagements, highlighting how ZOLL’s ecosystem of products supports a seamless patient journey.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms to secure favorable agreements for both customers and the company.
  • Develop and implement co-branded marketing strategies in partnership with the Associate Director of Partnerships.
  • Ensure alignment between ZOLL Medical and partners' marketing strategies to maximize exposure and engagement.

Marketing & Brand Awareness:

  • Work with Associate Director of Partnerships to cascade and scale ZOLL's Heroes for Life program in North America
  • Work across sales, marketing, and other functional areas to integrate partnerships into demand generation activities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging around ZOLL’s full range of solutions and how they contribute to improving patient outcomes.
  • Leverage partnerships with organizations focused on sudden cardiac arrest prevention and preparedness, reinforcing ZOLL’s commitment to public safety.

Market Research & Competitive Analysis:

  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes affecting PAD programs.
  • Analyze sales data, track performance metrics, and report insights to sales leadership.
  • Identify market opportunities and provide feedback for product development and marketing strategies.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • A personal connection to or experience with sudden cardiac arrest, whether through personal survival, a loved one’s experience, or advocacy, is highly valued and can enhance storytelling and customer engagement.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build and execute partnership sales and marketing strategies.
  • **Proven experience in collaborating with legislators, policymakers, and elected officials to advocate for and implement legislation that enhances community preparedness and expands access to life-saving interventions for Sudden Cardiac Arrest. **
  • Strong knowledge of AEDs, PAD programs, hospital and hospital foundation procurement processes, and community partnerships.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in healthcare sales, medical device sales, and partnership development.
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets in a competitive environment.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% within the National Territory as needed.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally across ZOLL business units, aligning messaging and sales strategies with ZOLL’s broader vision.
  • Experience working with advocacy groups, hospital foundations, or non-profits focused on cardiac arrest prevention and emergency preparedness is a plus.
  • Self-motivated, goal-driven, and able to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
