About the Role
Are you a technically skilled professional with experience in service management or product ownership? Sanoma Learning is looking for a Service Manager / Technical Product Owner (SM/TPO) to manage and improve our platforms, ensuring stability, user support, and continuous development.
You’ll be based in Belgium but will be expected to work on-site in ’s-Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands, about 2 times per week. You’ll collaborate closely with local teams in both Belgium and the Netherlands, as well as with international colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
As SM/TPO, you will be responsible for managing our AWS and Azure environments and ensuring the continuity of our platforms. You will:
- Collect and analyze business requirements from various stakeholders.
- Write technical and functional documentation.
- Contribute to backlog refinement and roadmap planning.
- Schedule releases and ensure project timelines are met.
- Manage high-impact incidents.
- Support IT security and governance activities.
- Manage contracts with external suppliers and service providers.
- Contribute to business case development and initiate improvement projects.
What You Bring
- At least 3 years of experience in a Service Manager, System Analyst, or similar role.
- A solid understanding of cloud environments (AWS and/or Azure).
- Strong communication skills in English; Dutch is a plus.
- Willingness to travel to ’s-Hertogenbosch about 2 times per week.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset and the ability to work independently.
