SUMMARY:
We are looking for an enthusiastic, detail oriented, and curious individual to help us research new market opportunities for Placer.ai. You will be a part of the Growth and Sales Strategy Team, helping us prioritize which markets can benefit from Placer’s offerings to continue our impressive revenue growth.
A successful Market Research Analyst candidate will be extremely fluent in English, detail-oriented, and comfortable with tools such as Microsoft Excel and Zoominfo. They should enjoy the hunt for information and leveraging logic to make assessments. Should a candidate show aptitude for analysis or project scoping, there are also opportunities to expand the day to day to include that type of work.
You will be working both autonomously and collaborating with other research analysts in order to achieve your goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create target lists containing possible sales leads for each market segment
- Evaluate which companies would constitute ideal customers
- Analyze company structures to identify potential sales opportunities
- Research the size & characteristics of new market segments using multiple sources of information, including market reports and industry news
REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent English (written & spoken) – Native English fluency is a plus
- 2 years minimum of work experience – start up experience is a plus but not required
- Extremely organized - the role will require you to multitask on various work streams and collaborate with other teammates
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - we are a fully remote team, which makes communication especially critical
- Technical - experience in Salesforce or willingness to learn
- Experience in Google Sheets and/or Excel is required – you will often be working with large amounts of information organized in tables
- Curious & fast learner – you will research and understand different markets and how they would benefit from Placer.ai
- Detail oriented - you will diligently create and review target lists of potential customers and share those with other teams at Placer.ai
ADVANTAGES:
- Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM applications is a plus
- Experience with Zoominfo or similar applications is a plus
- Experience in technology-based companies is a plus
- Experience working in a sales or sales-strategy organization is a plus
- Management experience is a plus
