How Is This Role Important to Our Work?

This role sits on our Market Competitiveness team within Provider Relations, supporting price transparency initiatives, specifically machine-readable file deliverables. The Market Competitiveness Data Analyst evaluates provider reimbursement data, systems, and business processes to identify opportunities for improvement and to support data clean-up efforts and data integrity initiatives. This position assists in identifying issues, gathering, analyzing, and interpreting a wide variety of data, and presenting results and recommendations to management and other stakeholders. This role may represent the department/division on corporate projects, coordinate stakeholder (internal or external) data needs, and may be the project lead on routine projects.

A Day in the Life:

  • Monitors and oversees the monthly business process to produce publicly available machine-readable files with the support of external vendors, the market competitiveness team and other business partners.
  • Identifies issues to be researched, determines affected areas, estimates the impact, and assists in resolution and business enhancements.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert on special projects and initiatives. The role will vary depending on the project but could include project lead, subject matter expert, or contributor.
  • Navigates systems to research, analyze, interpret, and derive pertinent information from data and organize it methodically, logically, and concisely to translate into actionable next steps.
  • Receives assistance/direction from either management, principal(s), or senior(s) team members.

Nice to Have:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • MS Office
  • Experience working in the managed care/healthcare insurance industry.
  • Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL).
  • Experience with Testing Strategies, Data Gathering Analysis.

Required Skills and Experiences:

  • 3+ years of related professional experience. All relevant experience including work, education, transferable skills, and military experience will be considered.
  • Demonstrates oral/written communication skills to effectively communicate business information to technical audiences.
  • Able to work on multiple priorities, deadlines, and adapt to change.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with strong analytic, problem-solving, and organizational skills and acute attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates the ability to cultivate and maintain strong relationships both within the organization and with external partners.
  • Assists in evaluating and interpreting complex data solutions based on technical, business, and industry knowledge.

    Role Designation:

    Hybrid Remote

    Role designation definition: Teleworking is working full time remote. Hybrid is a combination of working onsite and remotely. Onsite is full-time onsite.
