- As a Market Analyst & Sales Prospecting Specialist, you will provide services to an Upwork Managed Services client. In this role, you will support the Digital Marketing and Communications team by identifying market opportunities, managing Salesforce data, and assisting with campaign reporting. The position combines market research, lead prospecting, and post-event campaign analysis to strengthen the sales and marketing pipeline. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Salesforce, a strong analytical mindset, and prior exposure to sales prospecting or market research activities.
- Available to work up to 40 hours per week.
- Willing to work during European time zone hours, between 9AM - 5PM Central European Time (CET).
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities, trends, and key prospects.
- Perform lead prospecting and qualification using LinkedIn Sales Navigator and other research tools.
- Manage and maintain Salesforce (SFDC) records, including data entry, segmentation, and contact updates.
- Support campaign activities after events by analyzing lead data and preparing follow-up reports.
- Generate and interpret campaign reports within Salesforce to provide actionable insights.
- Collaborate with the Digital Marketing and Communications team to align research and outreach strategies.
- Prepare periodic summaries of market findings, lead progress, and campaign performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in sales prospecting, lead generation, or market research roles.
- Proficient in Salesforce (SFDC) including data entry, segmentation, lead/contact management, and reporting.
- Skilled in Excel for data organization, reporting, and basic analysis.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills
- Hands-on experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator for research and prospecting.
- Understanding of marketing and event campaign workflows, including post-event follow-up.
- Familiarity with digital marketing metrics or marketing automation tools.
- Curiosity and initiative to explore new data sources and improve prospecting efficiency.
- Comfortable working across global teams and adapting to shifting priorities.
