The Market Access Specialist will spearhead strategies to facilitate the market entry and reimbursement of pharmaceutical products and healthcare solutions in Indonesia. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of the local healthcare system, payer dynamics, and regulatory frameworks. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize product access and enhance patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Market Analysis & Strategy Development:
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify opportunities and challenges in the Indonesian healthcare landscape.
- Develop and implement market access strategies that align with product positioning and local regulations.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, payers, hospitals, and patient advocacy groups.
- Engage with local insurance providers to understand reimbursement processes and coverage criteria.
- Reimbursement & Pricing Strategy:
- Develop comprehensive reimbursement strategies, including preparing and submitting health technology assessments (HTAs) and value dossiers to payers.
- Navigate the hospital medicine listing process to secure formulary access for products.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and medical affairs teams to ensure alignment on market access initiatives.
- Work with clinical teams to generate real-world evidence demonstrating the value and effectiveness of products.
Regulatory Compliance & Monitoring
- Ensure all market access activities comply with local regulations, industry standards, and ethical guidelines.
- Monitor changes in healthcare policies, reimbursement frameworks, and regulations, providing insights for strategic adjustments.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Health Economics, Public Health, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in market access, pricing, or health economics within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
- Strong understanding of the Indonesian healthcare system, including local insurance frameworks and hospital medicine listing processes.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, with proficiency in both English and Bahasa Indonesia preferred.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
