Job Description SummaryThe Marine Services Sales Manager will provide technical subject matter expertise and leverage customer relationships to support the GE Vernova Power Conversion and Storage Marine Services business growth. The Marine Services Sales Manager will familiarize themselves with all delivered Power Conversion and Storage scope of supply and implement services marketing strategies across the marine segment. The Marine Services Sales Manager will contribute to segment and region strategy, driving growth-oriented activities, exploring new market applications, and evolving existing customer relationships.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

As the Marine Services Sales Manager, you will:

  • Own a Marine Services orders forecast, delivering volume and margin to meet quarterly targets 
  • Targets will be set for services supporting the installed base and new growth opportunities
  • Apply subject matter expertise (electrical and mechanical systems) to support the bidding process for service opportunities 
  • Identify relevant offerings with the goal to capture new service opportunities
  • Lead commercial and technical proposal efforts coordinating risk analysis with the relevant supporting functions within Power Conversion 
  • Form partnerships with strategic external partners and across the GE Vernova family of businesses complementing Power Conversion solutions to optimize customer outcomes
  • Develop opportunities and solutions that apply Power Conversion technical superiority in Marine Electric Propulsion and Controls and Automation to address current and future customer requirements.  Extend these opportunities to encompass the GE Vernova portfolio
  • Contribute to development of GE Vernova Power Conversion Strategic Marketing and Marine Segment Engagement Plans to ensure Power Conversion’s continued market influence as the Global Leader in Marine Electric Propulsion
  • Monitor Marine segment market intelligence in the North America for potential Power Conversion and GE Vernova competitive advantage

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Naval Architecture, or related, from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience with maritime electric propulsion or controls and automation (including Dynamic Positioning systems), may include requirements generation, design, test, commissioning, delivery, and fleet service or sales and business development
  • Minimum of 5 years sales/business development experience with demonstrated record of growth oriented success
  • Experience with Offshore O&G ecosystem including Shipyards and Naval Architecture firms
  • Ability and willingness to travel 60% of the time (domestically and internationally)
  • US Citizen
  • Ability to obtain a secret clearance

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $128,400.00 and $213,900.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
