Purpose
- Supervise the team for the effective crew rotation plan and organize crew documents
- Ensure that the crew documents are compliant as per regulatory requirements.
- Ensure that seafarers are deployed in line with joining schedule.
- Ensure that deployed seafarers are properly and completely documented.
Interrelations
- Reporting directly to the Marine Personnel Operations Manager
Formal authorities
- Authority to address any issue that may directly affect crewing operations.
- To ensure that proper and correct mandatory and statutory documentation of planned seafarers are compliant/completed prior to seafarer’s dispatch
Main responsibilities and tasks
- Coordinate closely with Marine Personnel Operations Manager that the crew supplied are aligned with Crew Selection Criteria and client’s requirements and crew documents conform to regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the development of WSBMI’s Operations’ strategic planning process.
- Monitor KPI based on the agreed strategic and operational plans.
- Conform to the standards, policies and procedures of the department.
- Oversee rotation plan of each vessel.
- Validate completeness and timeliness of CMS update.
- Validate completeness and validity of crew documents against company and regulatory requirements.
- Promote and recruit seafarers for manpower pooling and to ensure that vacancies are filled-in immediately.
- Coordinate directly with the counter part for the smooth logistic arrangements for incoming and outgoing crew.
- Coordinate closely with Crew Claims Officer for the monitoring on-going claims processing.
- Plan and organize the day-to-day crewing officer functions.
- Perform as backup in the absence of Marine Personnel Specialist.
- Adhere to the Quality Management System of WSBMI.
