Position Overview:

The Manufacturing Systems Administrator I is an entry level administrator of Brunswick’s Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) for the site, providing guidance and support to manufacturing operations in their deployment of the applications. MES applications currently in use include the Quality Control Information System (QC2), Shop Floor Manager (SFM), Andon Takt Clock System, Warehouse Management System (WMS/EPT), and Component Shop Floor (CSF).

That Manufacturing Systems Administrator I also works with current and emerging data repositories including MS SQL, Business Objects, and Power BI. The Manufacturing Systems Analyst interacts with MES administrators across BBG sites, supports common use of the data systems, provides user training, troubleshooting and problem resolution for the data systems.

Essential Functions:

• Administer data systems and reporting systems for NYM Operations with support of more senior administrators
• Refine, develop, and implement data collection systems strategies that optimize product quality and aid in product flow.
• Train employees in the use of data systems and monitor effectiveness of data collection methods
• Perform data analysis; report top items / create trendline graphs of top issues and details to relevant departments
• Model data using MS Excel, Access, SQL, Business Objects, Tableau, and/or other data warehouse analytical tools
• Support implementation, administration, and ongoing support of new data tracking and reporting software across NYM Operation
• Support data and reporting needs for other sites as requested
• Perform job duties in a manufacturing environment wearing PPE and performing duties with a safety mindset are expected.
• Other tasks as needed and determined relevant to this position by management

Required Qualifications:

• 1 year minimum demonstrated experience with data analysis (Tools and Process)
• Demonstrated knowledge regarding data models and data mining
• Exposure to reporting packages (Business Objects etc), databases (SQL, etc)
• High competency in Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Access
• Project management skills: training and demonstrated successful use of tools
• Demonstrated strong attention to detail ensuring records and data systems are current and accurate
• Experience working between various functional areas in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to work with data through the use of Statistics, Pareto charts, metrics and graphical trend reporting, data-drilling, dashboards, etc.
• Ability to use statistical packages to analyze large datasets (Excel, Minitab etc)
• Growing analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
• Requires excellent communication skills

EDUCATION

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or Information Management preferred
• Equivalent combination of work experience with a Technical degree may be considered
• Six Sigma Green Belt or formal Quality Assurance training beneficial

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to high sound levels, welding processes, moving forklifts, elevated loads, and close quarters. The successful candidate will demonstrate a safety mindset to other employees.

Work Environment:

Frequently exposed to a manufacturing setting with and candidates needs to demonstrate a safety mindset to their co-workers.

The hiring range for this position is $49,900 - $69,300 annually. The actual base pay offered will vary based on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.
