POSITION SUMMARY
The Manufacturing Quality SR Engineer is responsible for improving manufacturing quality, process capability, and operational efficiency through the implementation of advanced manufacturing technologies and quality systems. This role will lead initiatives focused on Manufacturing Execution System (MES) implementation, smart torque tool integration, and manufacturing automation to reduce defects, improve traceability, and enhance process consistency. The Quality Manufacturing Engineer will work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Production, IT, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams to develop and implement sustainable quality improvements that support operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) across manufacturing operations.
- Develop and deploy manufacturing quality technologies including smart torque systems, automated inspection equipment, traceability systems, and process monitoring solutions.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Production, Maintenance, IT, and Supply Chain teams to improve manufacturing quality, process capability, and operational efficiency.
- Develop and standardize manufacturing quality processes, work instructions, control plans, and best practices across production operations.
- Monitor manufacturing processes and quality performance using statistical analysis and data-driven decision-making to identify improvement opportunities.
- Lead root cause investigations and implement effective corrective and preventive actions to eliminate recurring quality issues.
- Support new product launches by validating manufacturing processes, quality systems, and production readiness to meet customer requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and structured problem-solving methodologies to reduce defects and improve productivity.
- Develop and report key manufacturing quality metrics, including process capability, first-pass yield, defect rates, and equipment performance.
- Provide technical leadership and training to plant personnel regarding MES functionality, smart manufacturing technologies, and quality system requirements.

Coordinate with equipment suppliers, system integrators, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful implementation and long-term sustainability of manufacturing technologies.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Job Qualifications:
- BS in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a related technical discipline; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in manufacturing engineering, quality engineering, or a related field.
- Experience implementing and supporting Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing automation, smart torque systems, industrial traceability, and Industry 4.0 technologies.
- Experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions using structured problem-solving methodologies.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple improvement initiatives simultaneously.
- Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Experience with automated assembly equipment, robotics, vision inspection systems, and manufacturing data analytics.
- Experience supporting multiple manufacturing facilities.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and manufacturing data analysis tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of thermal cooling equipment.
- Working knowledge of metal cutting and bending.
- High degree of knowledge with brazing and welding.

Experience integrating manufacturing systems with ERP, PLC, and industrial automation platforms.
TRAVEL TIME REQUIRED
- Travel required, approximately 50-75%.
