General Profile:

  • Uses best known methods and lean six sigma tools to solve complex manufacturing quality issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular / weekly meetings (MRRT meetings) to address manufacturing NCs and line issues, drive necessary actions for issue containments, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Perform quality audits within manufacturing for compliance with established internal and external standards.
  • Facilitate or lead kaizen events to drive continuous improvement and resolve significant deviation from the standard.
  • Use 8D / lean six sigma methodology to drive continuous improvement projects.
  • Provide governance of corrective and preventative actions.
  • Collaborate with Supplier Quality Engineers, SQE focals and Onsite Technical Representatives to contain Supplier non-conformance and ensure 8D effectiveness.
  • Aid in the investigation of Customer quality non-conformances caused by manufacturing.
  • Mentor and train Quality / Engg Technicians on existing and new standards as well as adoption of industry best known methods.

Job Description

Govern and perform internal Quality Audits

  • Check for manufacturing compliance to internal standards such as specifications and policies
  • Collaborate with engineering and operation managers to address root cause

Lead or Facilitate 8Ds and Kaizen events

  • When there are significant deviations from the standard, lead 8D investigation. An immediate need to contain the problem and implement corrective and preventative actions (CAPA), to resolve root cause.
  • As needed, facilitate kaizens; geared at quality improvements through technicians, supervisors and engineers’ collaboration.
  • Perform quality stand downs with technicians as needed to convey and correct quality issues
  • Monitor for any repeats, keep track of results and report out to Executive Management

Collaborate with Supplier representatives to minimize supplier caused Quality non-conformances

  • Quick engagement with Supplier Quality Engineers to manage responsiveness of suppliers to Mfg. issues with a focus on keeping manufacturing operational.
  • Engagement on stock purges or containments in manufacturing while working with the Manufacturing Engineers to assess the product and prevent a line down
  • Follow up with Supplier Quality Engineers and keep Manufacturing abreast of progress

Lead Quality continuous improvement projects

  • Identify top quality projects based on impact to Quality variance and defect per system rate
  • Lead a small team to execute projects from planning through validation/closure

Preferred

  • American Society of Quality Certified Quality Engineer or Certified Quality Auditor
  • Four-year engineering or science degree
  • 3+ years of quality engineering experience
  • Semiconductor experience

- Candidates with DDP Product knowledge and manufacturing preferred

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
