Who we are looking for

We are currently searching for a Manufacturing Lead to be based out of our Pendleton, Oregon Plant. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this person's primary focus will be to operate, set up troubleshoot and optimize equipment during the production process.

What you’ll do:

Additional Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Ability to safely and efficiently set up machines for production runs, including adjustments and changeovers.
  • Reporting and verifying production totals entered in JDE system, recording production data and assisting with preparing shift reports.
  • Serve as a manufacturing technical expert for identified manufacturing processes.
  • Responsible for floor operations and escalating issues to department leadership.
  • Continuously monitor machine performance and product quality during shift, anticipate problems, and trouble-shoot processes and equipment with the assistance of other support groups.
  • Performs minor preventative maintenance and repairs.
  • Monitors the shifts goals and measures of success on hour x hour boards, actively tracking progress toward goal attainment.
  • Provide mentoring to Machine Operator levels I, II and III.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

What you’ll bring:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Able to work 12-hour shifts.
  • Must wear proper PPE (safety glasses, ear plugs, steel-toe shoes, gloves, high visibility vest).
  • Required to focus on reading/evaluating documents and is expected to have great attention to detail.
  • Experienced with all tasks and duties of Material Handlers and Operators.
  • Able to read and use different measurement tools.
  • Math knowledge and MS Office skills.
  • Previous manufacturing experience with a strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Previous machine operating experience preferred.

Within 3 months, you’ll:

  • You will be immersed and understand the Atkore safety culture and Values.
  • You will have completed any required trainings.
  • Be well-versed in Atkore’s Business System and the importance of your role to daily operations.

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay for this position is $28.00/hr. + $1.00 an hour Shift Differential.  Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time.  Other compensation may include, but not limited to, overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.
