Preferred QualificationsThe Manufacturing Engineer develops, improves, and supports manufacturing processes for precision-machined components from new product introduction through production. This role works cross-functionally with engineering, production, quality, and maintenance to drive efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure quality. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, work instructions, and production methods
- Design and implement tooling, fixtures, and process improvements
- Support CNC machining operations including process validation and troubleshooting
- Analyze production data to improve efficiency, quality, and throughput
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma principles
- Create and maintain manufacturing documentation including routings, BOMs, and process sheets
- Support new product launches from prototype through full production
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for quality and production issues
- Evaluate equipment capabilities and recommend capital improvements as needed
- Ensure familiarity with CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks, ESPRIT, VERICUT
- Experience with PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Validation, and Statistical Process Control (SPC)
