The primary focus of this position is assembly and manufacturing processes for a variety of HVAC and related products, including electrical control panels, valves, electronic controllers, humidification products, inverters, and other industrial products.

This position works closely with Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Production personnel to improve safety, quality, productivity, capacity, delivery, and cost. The Process Engineer will be highly hands-on and spend significant time on the manufacturing floor developing and troubleshooting processes, supporting production, implementing improvements, and ensuring processes are capable, efficient, and repeatable.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.

  • Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for assembly and production operations, including electrical/electronic assemblies, valves, panels, inverters, and other HVAC related products, with emphasis on safety, quality, productivity, capacity, delivery, and cost.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, PDCA, root cause analysis, time studies, line balancing, and other structured problem-solving methods to improve process capability, efficiency, reliability, and reduce scrap, rework, cycle time, and labor requirements.
  • Develop and improve production lines, work cells, workstations, material flow, tooling, fixtures, and work methods to support efficient, ergonomic, and repeatable manufacturing operations, including appropriate process controls and error-proofing.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing process, equipment, tooling, and product-related issues; identify root causes and implement practical, sustainable solutions to restore and improve production performance.
  • Support new product introductions, engineering changes, and production transfers, including development and validation of manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling, documentation, and production requirements.
  • Lead manufacturing engineering projects, including equipment and tooling projects, process improvements, production localization, and capital investments; coordinate internal resources and external suppliers through implementation and startup.
  • Monitor and analyze manufacturing performance using KPIs such as safety, quality, delivery, productivity, capacity, OEE, scrap, downtime, and cycle time; identify performance gaps, establish corrective actions, and track results through the daily PDCA process.
  • Partner with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Engineering, and operators to resolve manufacturing issues, implement corrective actions, and sustain process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, process standards, standard work, manufacturing procedures, process flows, and other documentation required to establish and sustain manufacturing processes.
  • Support manufacturing systems and data accuracy, including ERP, MES, BOMs, routings, work centers, production standards, and other manufacturing information.
  • Evaluate and implement new manufacturing technologies, equipment, tooling, and automation that improve quality, productivity, capacity, ergonomics, or cost.
