ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Improve the efficiency and scalability of manufacturing processes by applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly processes (including training), tools, and materials. Equally important is the requirement of conferring with equipment vendors and soliciting observations from technicians.
  • Delkor’s manufacturing environment doubles as an equipment showroom. As such, this role has the goal of supporting and creating a world-class manufacturing environment on the production floor, with efficiency, organization, and cleanliness as a top priority.
  • Build a strong sense of pride, culture, and teamwork through involvement, listening, and celebrating victories as key milestones are achieved and maintained.
  • Establish regularly occurring events that reinforce lean practices and 5S organizational tools.
  • Provide manufacturing decision-making information by establishing standards for production, labor, and material costs; as well as estimating future requirements.
  • Prepare product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Maintain Product and company safety record and reputation by complying with OSHA standards as well as government regulations.
  • Establish and document maintenance requirements for tools and equipment used in the manufacturing process.
  • Create assembly videos to aid in the onboarding and training of technicians.
  • Assure product and process quality by designing appropriate testing or qualification methods (as needed), and standards; confirming manufacturing processes.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Create and/or document changes and improvements to standard processes and procedures.
  • Assist with other manufacturing needs as required:
    • Assist with the Supervision of Assembly Technicians.
    • Assist with 5S/Lean practices throughout the Production Floor.
    • Assist with other manufacturing processes from engineering to the finished product.

Education and Experience

  • Four-year degree in an engineering field.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience. 
  • Thorough understanding of assembly and testing processes learned through prior roles.
  • Prior experience in a high-production environment is required.

Technical Skills and Abilities

  • Team player. Must be able to hold others accountable, while also building collaboration and teamwork while under demanding circumstances.
  • Must be able to accept critique of work and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Experience with Excel and other Office products.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to direct a workforce to accomplish complex goals with aggressive timelines.

Physical Requirements

  • Occasionally lift 10 – 80 pounds.

Work Environment

  • Eighty percent (80%) of the work duties are performed in a production environment, standing or walking on a concrete floor.
  • Twenty percent (20%) of the work duties are performed in an office environment. 

Tools and Equipment

  • Use general office equipment such as a computer, telephone, printer, copier  and other office equipment as applicable.
  • Use basic hand tools including as wrenches, pliers, screwdriver, voltmeter, etc.

Salary Range

  • The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $85,000 per year. At Delkor, we are committed to ensuring that each employee’s compensation reflects their experience, performance, and skills relevant to their current role. This salary range accounts for various factors considered in the hiring process, including but not limited to education, skills, work experience, and certifications. As a result, the final salary offer for the selected candidate(s) may fall anywhere within this range.
