We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer for our Nagykanizsa factory.

 

Manufacturing Engineer 

 

Areas of Responsibility:

  • Act as the technical owner for the assigned product portfolio and production lines and ensure robust manufacturing support.
  • Drive process excellence by developing and maintaining efficient, safe, and sustainable assembly operations.
  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional activities related to product launches, engineering changes, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, internal procedures, and quality, environmental, and safety regulations (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
  • Contribute to building a culture of problem-solving, innovation, and continuous improvement within the manufacturing team.

 

Key Tasks:

  • Develop, implement, and optimize assembly processes, tools, and equipment to ensure efficient production and high product quality.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) projects, including assembly line design, PFMEA, process validation, and documentation.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Kaizen) to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and lower costs.
  • Provide technical support to production teams in troubleshooting assembly issues and ensuring smooth operations.
  • Create and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and process flow charts.
  • Manage cycle time improvement, lead time reduction, layout optimization etc.
  • Collaborate with Quality to investigate non-conformities and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and promote a culture of safe working practices.
  • Support capacity planning, line balancing, and ergonomic assessments to optimize labor utilization.
  • Participate in equipment specification, procurement, installation, and qualification for new assembly technologies. Take ownership of technical issues and collaborate with our development team to resolve advanced challenges.
  • Adhere to ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 system requirements and support new R&D projects with proper documentation.
  • Register and update product technical changes in the SAP system, providing accurate bills of material for production.
  • Coordinate initial sampling processes, evaluate technical documentation, and register results.
  • Ensure effective communication regarding technical changes and new product parameters.
  • Attend weekly meetings to provide status updates and document new processes, ensuring existing documentation is current.

 

Qualifications:

  • Degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
  • Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills with a structured, data-driven approach.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate clearly at all organizational levels.
  • Fluent in English and Hungarian, both written and spoken.
  • Proficient in computer applications and software relevant to engineering processes.
