About the role and what you’ll do

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for supporting and optimizing manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems to ensure efficient, high-quality, and cost-effective production. Working closely with Operations and Engineering teams, you will drive continuous improvement initiatives, support new product introductions, and provide technical expertise across manufacturing operations.

  • Drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes, equipment, and production efficiency

  • Support the introduction of new products, processes, and technologies into production

  • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues using structured problem-solving techniques

  • Provide technical support for production, automation, and personalization equipment

  • Lead equipment installation, commissioning, validation, and maintenance activities

  • Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, procedures, and technical reports

  • Support calibration and preventive maintenance programs

  • Collaborate with suppliers, production teams, and global stakeholders to deliver operational improvements

  • Lead and support engineering projects focused on quality, productivity, and cost reduction

  • Support knowledge transfer, process standardization, and best practice sharing across global sites

About you

You are a proactive and hands-on engineering professional who enjoys solving technical challenges and improving manufacturing performance. You combine strong analytical skills with a practical approach and work effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced production environment.

Experience and knowledge

  • Third-level qualification in Engineering or a related technical discipline (Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred)

  • Minimum 3 year of experience in an automated manufacturing environment

  • Experience with automation technologies, including PLCs, pneumatics, hydraulics, or vision systems

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles

  • Experience supporting manufacturing equipment, processes, and production systems

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Experience working with production IT systems is an advantage

  • Previous experience in RFID card manufacturing, secure printing, or a regulated manufacturing environment is desirable

  • Good written and spoken English
