As a Manufacturing Engineer in New Product Introduction, you will play a key role in introducing new products into manufacturing, supporting process readiness, and ensuring robust build and qualification activities. In this role you will be responsible for the following:
Support the introduction of new products from development through production ramp-up.
Review critical equipment and fixture designs to ensure manufacturing readiness.
Create, review, and maintain manufacturing documentation.
Support infrastructure and facilities requirements for new manufacturing cells and build areas.
Prepare and analyse yield and equipment downtime reports.
Provide Gemba support and help drive cell improvements.
Maintain product and manufacturing data in SAP and related systems.
Support SAP ME implementation and launch activities.
Represent the voice of operations, reporting and escalating issues as they arise.
Lead and participate in root cause investigations using appropriate methodology, such as DMAIC and 5 why.
Minimum Level 8 Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical & Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum 2-3 year’ experience required in industry, preferably in new product introduction.
Strong understanding of process development, equipment qualification, and validation activities.
Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
Strong communication, planning, and organisational skills.
Ability to demonstrate Medtronic Mindsets in their work and good presentation skills.
We are looking for a good communicator and fluency in English, both in writing and speaking.
Nice to haves:
Experience supporting SAP ME implementation.
Experience with DMAIC.
Knowledge of SAP/Agile is an advantage.
