Job Description
Position Summary:
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and continuously improving manufacturing processes to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective production. This position works closely with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Product Engineering teams to achieve operational goals related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity, and Cost.
You will report to our Manufacturing Team Lead located in our Monterrey Manufacturing Plant.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and implement manufacturing processes, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Analyze production data and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and throughput.
- Reduce manufacturing costs through process optimization and waste elimination.
- Design and validate tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing equipment.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and product transfer projects.
- Lead root cause analysis investigations and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain PFMEA, Process Flow Diagrams, and Control Plans.
- Establish and monitor key manufacturing KPIs.
- Support automation and digital transformation initiatives.
- Collaborate with Maintenance to improve equipment reliability and uptime.
- Evaluate production capacity and develop plans to support customer demand.
- Manage headcount (HC) requirements and labor utilization according to production demand fluctuations.
- Participate in capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects, including equipment selection, installation, and validation.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Train production personnel on new manufacturing processes and equipment.
Minimum requirements:
- 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in process improvement and production support.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing tools and methodologies.
- Advanced level of english.
- Process validation.
- Automated manufacturing equipment.
- Fixture and tooling development.
- Capacity and headcount management to support demand peaks.
