About the Role
Responsible for, but not limited to, applying standard engineering principles and analytical techniques to the design and development of the manufacturing processes to ensure continuous improvement efforts and cost reduction activities.
Your Responsibilities
- Responsible for engineering solutions to the manufacturing process, synchronous manufacturing, continuous improvement techniques.
- Responsible to develop processes, develop JES instructions and select tooling/equipment to meet process capability, capacity, cost effectiveness, maintainability and safety ergonomics.
- Responsible for PFMEA development, process changes, and PFMEA updates.
- Oversee facility projects schedules and completion of these projects according to specific deadlines and project timelines.
- Provide engineering & maintenance expertise for projects progressing through the manufacturing process for plant layout, process improvement, part quality improvement, ergonomic improvement, and cost reductions.
- Develop work holding fixtures, mistake proofing devices and material racking/handling systems.
- Incorporate customer specific requirements into the build process
- Evaluate product design proposals including PTR's and PTR walks to evaluate engineering change feasibility and participate in APQP & PDP events.
- Update engineering BOM's and engineering drawings as required.
- Develop and maintain accurate labor standards and line balancing as required.
- Perform special projects in support of the organizations business objectives.

Who we are looking for
Education / Experience:
- High School Diploma
- Currently Attending a College or University
Special Knowledge / Skills:
- Proficient Computer knowledge and skills, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Professional Communication skills (written and verbal)
Physical Demands:
- Normal amount of sitting or standing, average mobility to move around an office environment, able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer.
