What you'll be doing:Provide end-to-end manufacturing assembly process solutions, including DFX (design for manufacturing, design for assembly, design for 6-sigma, design for testing, etc.).
Identify, assess, and apply risk mitigation strategies, leading investigations of issues, identifying root causes of product failures, and driving corrective actions.
Review contract manufacturer (CM) readiness, develop assembly fixtures and jigs, and establish clear assembly and manufacturing specifications through a step-by-step validation process.
Gather feedback through DFx, yield issues, and repair center activities to improve workflow efficiency, analyze system assembly gaps, study cosmetic appearances, and identify improvement opportunities.
Review automation options, suggest approaches for reducing waste and cutting costs, recommend technological solutions, product design improvements, and workspace layout changes to ensure high quality and efficiency.
Manage the acquisition of specialized equipment, materials, and other components, ensuring they meet intended use, specifications, and quality standards.
Develop and implement automation solutions for our manufacturing processes, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and deploy automated systems that improve production capabilities.
A bachelor's degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
8+ years of proven experience in developing and implementing automation solutions in a manufacturing environment.
Validated mechanical/thermal architecture mentality, expertise in GD&T, tolerance analysis, and 2D drawing, with a critical focus on manufacturing risk.
Good understanding of commonly used equipment in manufacturing, familiar with electrical or electro-mechanical components, and PCBA-related manufacturing processes.
Effective problem-solving skills, technical and quality critical, with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data proficiently in SPC, 6 sigma, quality control, CpK, and PPAP.
Knowledgeable in DFM, DFA, DFx, manufacturing cost breakdown, and accurately predicting production performance.
Proficiency in CAD software, with Creo preferred, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and proficiency in English, with flexibility to travel.
Balanced design and manufacturing experience with quality delivery and a background in consumer data center mechanics.

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 152,000 USD - 253,000 USD for Level 4, and 184,000 USD - 287,500 USD for Level 5.You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
