Vast is looking for a Manufacturing Coordinator, Structures reporting to the Production Manager, Structures & Mechanical Assembly, to support the development of the systems that will be required for the design and build of artificial-gravity human-rated space stations.
This will be a full-time, non-exempt position located in our Long Beach location.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor, track, and move parts as required through the manufacturing shop floor to ensure timely delivery through completion
- Ensure parts are handled in the proper manner to avoid any damages
- Coordinate with purchasing and logistics to ensure parts are moved to outsourcing locations
- Collaborate with engineering, planning and procurement teams to ensure that shortages are flagged ahead of time and delivered by the shop floor need date
- Work closely with manufacturing management to ensure metric goals are met
- Communicate part status and completion dates to customer
- Assist leadership with projects and action items as needed
- Utilize bandsaw to supply raw materials to Machine Shop
- Support manufacturing shop floor with returns to inventory
- Follow up with engineering on open issues blocking RUN completion
- Assist in correcting wrong system data which is driving incorrect MRP signals
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent certificate
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- 2+ Years of handling parts in a manufacturing environment
- Strong computer skills
- Inventory experience
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 25lbs unassisted
- Must be willing to work overtime and or weekends as needed
Pay Range:
- Manufacturing Coordinator I: $19.30 - $27.40
- Manufacturing Coordinator II: $22.15 - $31.45
- Senior Manufacturing Coordinator: $28.70 - $40.75
