Manufacturing controller (for Breda & Riyadh PAY Perso sites)
Based in Breda Perso center with few travels per year to Saudi Arabia
- 1 or max 2 days week of remote working possible
- 3 days at least on site. Thales LR8 – Industrial Controller
- Reporting to PAY Manuf Controller and dotted line to Plant Manager’s (Breda and Riyadh)
Position Summary / Key Tasks
- Perform monthly closing and reporting for manufacturing responsibilities
- Prepare and review the accounting entries related to the manufacturing activity
- Calculation & maintenance of standard cost. In charge of COGS for the site
- Contribute to cost savings objectives
- Lead, prepare, present the budget & rolling forecast for manufacturing scope
- Variance analysis between actual and planned
- Validate industrial investment (ROI/Payback for Capex project)
- Support fixed assets management and check the depreciation amount
- Support inventory management and ensure the reliable inventory valuation
- Ad-hoc financial analysis and calculation
- Ensure compliance with Thales policies and internal controls requirements
- Providing information to external and internal auditors for manufacturing scope
- Participate in the development of the local policies, goals and long-range plans
Responsibilities
- Developing financial culture within Plant management
- Responsible for manufacturing monthly closing and reporting
- Leading, coordinating, and presenting yearly budget & manufacturing rolling forecast
- In charge of plant cost control, ensuring the reliable costing and the inventory valuation
- Ensuring application of Thales processes & policies
Education & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in finance (or accounting),
- Knowledge of accounting principles, understanding of standard costing - nice to have 2-3 years controlling experience in manufacturing environment
- Effective communication skills
- Languages: English very good oral & written, Arabic would be advantage
- Strong analytical, mathematical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent knowledge of Excel and working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint
- Oracle knowledge is an advantage
