Job Purpose
With the UMS (Unilever Manufacturing System), Unilever’s continuous improvement methodology, the ManEx Coordinator ensures the effective implementation, applies cost deployment, loss trees and analysis to prioritize interventions to eliminate identified losses, guided by the Site Manufacturing Excellence Support Manager and continuous improvement methodology.
The ManEx Coordinator also supports Focused Improvement activities and Kaizen, teaches problem-solving tools, facilitates best practices, and shares lessons across the unit. Additionally, they provide teaching, coaching, and mentoring on UMS issues for operation leaders and shopfloors.
Main Responsibilities
- Identify and prioritize production losses using performance measures.
- Address production problems using improvement tools and techniques to prevent recurrence.
- Apply Cost Deployment and Zero Loss concepts to eliminate losses.
- Use routine improvements and problem analysis to drive manufacturing innovation.
- Ensure teams adhere to the UMS Establishment Plan.
- Develop local training materials and support teams using Kaizen and other improvement tools.
- Coordinate UMS workshops and conduct assessments, coaching, and mentoring teams to apply WCM tools to reduce losses.
- Maintain and improve the continuous improvement culture to drive the UMS within the organization.
- Understand and apply the UMS pillar structure to drive business improvements.
- Support engineering improvements with mechanical knowledge, clear communication, and logical thinking.
- Understand and use digital technologies, critical thinking, and online navigation skills.
- Be passionate about advanced data analytics and statistical tools.
Candidate Criteria
Skill & Qualification
- Good in analytics, statistics, and critical thinking
- Able to collaborate with relevant functions to drive the UMS based culture
- Good in presentation and inspiring skill
- Able to make logical decisions based on data
- Able to command of both written and spoken in English
- Proficiencies in Microsoft Office programs
- Possess challenging and pioneering spirit
- Energetic, working under dynamic environment and good interpersonal skills
- Able to clearly understand operating principles and establish correct operating standards
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety or related field
- 2 – 3 year working experience
- Hand on experience in FMCGs manufacturing process and technology is preferred
- Familiar or experienced in continuous improvement programs/tools
