This position is part of the Asia Pacific Human Resources team and sits in the Workplaces Practices Centre of Excellence, reporting to APAC WP Director.

We are seeking India Workplace Practices Lead, highly skilled in Employee Relations (ER) investigations and the ability to partner across stakeholders and influence policy design. This role is responsible for conducting fair, thorough, and timely investigations into workplace concerns, while identifying systemic issues and contributing to policy enhancement and preventive ER strategies.

  • Work Environment investigations- Partner with internal employment counsel, compliance and HR Business Partners to effectively manage employee relations issues/investigations
  • Policies & processes- Drive continuous improvement in ER processes, policies, framework and ensuring compliance with labor laws.
  • Training & awareness: Build preventive ER capability through manager training and employee awareness sessions.
  • Extend support to investigations and projects across APAC on need basis.

Based in Gurgaon India you work with teams across India and extend support to the APAC region

What you will do:

  • Leads and conducts Work Environment investigations for a high-volume portfolio of cases across India.  Including intake processes, investigation planning and interviews, recommendation and determination, and reporting/insights analysis. Communicates and updates status of investigations to relevant managers and HRBPs.  Makes recommendations to HRBPs and leadership regarding investigations and employee relations issues. 
  • Analyzes and report WE investigations, employee relations and other data trends to address and mitigate risk and support and drive our culture of integrity. Partners with HR and managers to drive necessary improvements. 
  • Provide sound ER advice and guidance to HRBPs and managers on a range of ER topics such as RIFs, performance management, merger and acquisition, disciplinary processes, absence management and managing risk in termination of employment within the framework of leading with care.
  • Build preventive ER capability through manager training and employee awareness sessions on respectful workplace, investigations process, handling performance issues, conflict resolution, conduct concerns, and difficult conversations.
  • Strengthen team-level trust, psychological safety, and communication by identifying patterns, early-warning indicators and building a speak up culture.
  • Contribute to the development of policies, processes, and training materials that support a culture of accountability and integrity.
  • Coordinates with compliance and legal regarding employee discipline for compliance investigations that are not work environment matters.  May also assist in these investigations. 
  • Maintains knowledge of current and emerging laws and regulations, and periodically reviews and updates applicable standards, trends and issues affecting the company work environment and policies.
  • Independently manage/support special projects in addition to other required responsibilities  

    What You Need:

    • Proven 10+ years of work experience
    • 4-5 years of expereince in handling complex investigations and senior stakeholder engagement
    • Experience in HR policy drafting or influencing organizational policies
    • Knowledge of employment laws or legal background would be preferred.
    • Understanding of AI tools for pattern recognition and evidence analysis
    • Critical thinking – you evaluate conflicting accounts and identify inconsistencies, spot repeated behaviors or systemic concerns
    • Confidentiality: Ability to handle sensitive conversations with professionalism and empathy
    • Cultural awareness – respect diverse perspectives and contexts
    • Proven ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders at multiple levels

    Travel Percentage: 20%
