The Manager, Treasury Operations leads the accounts payable and cash management function for Coverys’ US operations. This role ensures timely disbursement of payments, deposit of receipts, and accurate posting of cash journal entries to the general ledger. The manager oversees daily cash positioning, short-term liquidity planning, and cash flow forecasting, while maintaining strong banking relationships. Additionally, the role supports audit and regulatory reporting, enforces effective internal controls, and drives process improvements and treasury-related projects. As a people leader, the Manager is responsible for supervising and developing team members in alignment with organizational policies.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for the timely disbursement of all payments of the company.
Responsible for the timely deposit of all receipts of the company.
Oversee daily cash positioning and short-term liquidity planning.
Manage short-term and long-term cash flow forecasting and variance analysis.
Maintain cordial, cost-effective and efficient banking relations which maximize the value of company cash flows. Maintain all necessary bank accounts, wire transfer arrangements and lock-box accounts.
Oversee Corporate Card Program and Online Bill Pay/Presentment system.
Support audit and regulatory reporting requirements.
Maintain effective internal controls over treasury operations and identify opportunities to improve effectiveness and efficiency of treasury processes.
Lead treasury-related projects including automation and system upgrades.
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Education, Requirements, & Competencies
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university with accounting major.
MBA, CTP, CPA, or CFA designation preferred
8-10 years of work experience in the insurance industry or other like industry.
Strong understanding of cash management, banking products and treasury systems
Excellent analytical, communication and project management skills
Proficiency in Excel and Financial modeling
Base salary range is $136,740 - $160,870. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors that are unique to each candidate including location, skill set, experience, qualifications and education.
