We are looking for a Trade Lane Development Manager for Shipco Asia Pacific who is responsible for the oversight and development of the Intra Asia trade. The role will work closely with the country and local Sales & Marketing teams to discuss and evaluate sales opportunities, problems, business observations, customer feedback, and commercial performance, and to devise and drive responsive action plans and strategic initiatives that advance the commercial interests of Shipco Transport across the region. The role also carries a strong commercial focus, including supporting revenue growth, yield management, pricing alignment, customer portfolio development, and the identification of new business opportunities across the trade lane.
What You'll Do...
· Responsible for driving the volumes and profitability of the specific trade through well-articulated and achievable action plans and associated processes.
· Identify areas of improvement in relation to volumes / profitability and achieve targeted growth within a defined set of targeted accounts for the specific port pairs.
· Identify service opportunities for growth and work with Regional Head of Trade Lane Development to ensure optimal conditions are met to explore and start new services as needed.
· Visit offices and customers to support extended sales team/s in relation to maintenance and growth of trade lane specific business.
· Engage with country sales on most significant opportunities in the pipeline, including supporting and participating in the RFQ process with the Product team.
· Engage with customers as needed to understand markets and promote our services.

· Maintain monthly status reporting to management with volume and income variances.
· Work closely in the regional Trade Lane development team and share best practices across trades.
What You'll Need...
· Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain Management, or related field
· Experience in the Ocean / Air freight industries
· Previous trade lane management and/or Sales experience in a similar business will be an added advantage
· Experience in the Ocean / Air freight industries

· Willingness to travel as needed
· Fluent in both verbal and written English. Ability to converse in Mandarin would be an added advantage
