The Role

Lead and empower instructors of the BeyondTrust University team to enhance and improve the quality, experience, and delivery of training. The Instructor Manager will be responsible for managing a team of expert instructors, helping them grow professionally within BeyondTrust and the BeyondTrust University team. 

The manager will work with key stakeholders to make sure their team is always up to date on upcoming changes to products and processes, allowing them to get ahead and deliver the changes to the customers and partners.   The manager will also be responsible for leading projects and initiatives to grow and enhance the BeyondTrust Education programs.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage members of the BeyondTrust University staff 
  • Audit active public and private courses for technical accuracy and delivery standards 
  • Handle any customer escalations with scheduling or delivery of training 
  • Help resolve any technical issues impacting the delivery of training courses 
  • Collaborate with other training leadership to help improve existing processes 
  • Foster relationships between instructors and other members of the training team 
  • Help keep instructors up to date on upcoming process and product changes 
  • Manage new and ongoing projects and programs
  • Mentor new and existing instructors 
  • Actively provide feedback to instructors on their training and delivery 
  • Help grow the BeyondTrust University's reputation within the greater organization by creating relationships with other teams and departments 
  • Audit existing and new training materials for technical accuracy and consistency with BeyondTrust initiatives 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science/information systems or equivalent experience 
  • 10+ years software industry technical experience 
  • 3+ years leading technical teams
  • 10+ years delivering technical training 
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills 
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication 
  • Personable, yet knowledgeable training demeanor 
  • Ability to create and keep strong relationships with key product and process stakeholders 

Nice To Have

  • Knowledgeable in Learning Management Systems 
  • Project Management experience 
  • Product Management experience, tools and processes
  • Experience with Jira or similar project management tools
