DESCRIPTION:
Join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Product Specialist III, where you'll contribute to revenue growth and customer success through technical sales expertise. You'll represent our portfolio of scientific instruments and solutions, working closely with customers to understand their needs and deliver effective solutions that enable them to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. As a technical advisor, you'll develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts while providing technical expertise across the sales cycle. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, and technical support to implement sales strategies and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
This position is responsible for achieving or exceeding the sales target for Biopharma market through excellent technical selling and market development and leadership skills.
- Develop and implement a strategic territory plan to include the methodology needed to achieve sales growth including lead generation, cultivating, customer support, and penetration activities for entire south region with focus on CDMO and Biopharma market.
- Coordinate all sales and related activities within defined accounts in the territory including, lead generation and follow-up, cold calling, organizing and communicating technical seminars, demos, application feasibility tests, and customer support and training.
- Meet or exceed sales objectives while operating within expense budgets and control costs.
- Manage many different stakeholders, including pharma and applied sales team, service and supply chain.
- Perform demonstrations to drive new and repeat sales as defined in the Strategic Territory Plan, and on an as needed basis.
Qualifications:
A degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry or similar, a post graduate degree is a clear advantage.
At least 8-10 years UPLC-MSMS experience, although the more experience the better.

The ideal candidate would have both and applications and Instrument troubleshoot background or application background who can better understand the customer issues/ challenges. Candidate will be given preference who is familiar with many of the analytical methods in use in these labs currently and be able to work completely independently. As a technical specialist level position we would expect the candidate to have a firm grasp of their local market situation and a strategic plan for how best to use their technical skill set to further gain in market share, in addition to a high level of technical competency. Provide market intelligence and updates on ongoing trends in the defined vertical segment.
