What you'll be doing  

 Lead delivery of the group’s digital commerce applications, owning sprint and Program Increment execution from planning through release. Keep commitments realistic against available capacity, and manage risks, dependencies, and release readiness across the digital release cycle.

• Lead delivery for digital commerce capability within the Omnichannel domain, managing the squad that delivers these capabilities for the group's brands.

• Deliver the committed sprint and PI scope for the capability to agreed quality, with predictable velocity and no unplanned slippage against committed dates.

• Improve release readiness and stability for the capability, reducing defects reaching production and the time taken to resolve them.

• Produce the sprint and PI plan in Confluence, documenting objectives, scope, capacity, dependencies, risks, and committed deliverables, and maintain it through the increment.

• Provide objectives, status updates, and exact man-days per item for consolidation into PI billing to the business.

• Manage delivery demand against squad capacity, ensuring commitments are realistic, and dependencies across squads are understood before work is planned.

• Facilitate agile ceremonies, track RAID items through to closure, and coordinate release readiness, cutover, and handover with engineering and business stakeholders.

• Remove impediments for the squad, and escalate risks, dependencies, and scope changes that threaten committed outcomes to the Head of Digital.

What you’ll need to succeed  

  • 6 to 9 years in digital commerce platforms, including leading an agile delivery squad.

• Experience delivering on SFCC, Shopify or Shopify Plus within a digital commerce environment.

• Experience running sprint and PI planning, managing squad capacity, and tracking risks, issues, and dependencies to closure.

• Experience coordinating release readiness, cutover, and handover with engineering and business stakeholders.

• Usage proficiency in Jira and Confluence or related project management tools for planning, documentation, and reporting.

• Experience providing delivery inputs for billing or cost recovery to the business.

• Certification in agile delivery, such as Scrum Master or SAFe, is nice to have.

• Preferred Profile: Retail or e-commerce domain experience. Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution and to operate effectively as a senior individual contributor. Profiles such as Digital Capability Lead, Delivery Lead, Delivery Manager, or Agile Delivery Lead in digital commerce.
