- You ensure accurate and timely filing of GST returns, including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, Annual Returns, and reconciliations. You ensure correct compliance with IMS and ISD provisions.
- You maintain all tax-related information and documentation on a live basis to support tax audit defense. You monitor correct tax positions and ensure compliance with evolving GST regulations, supported by appropriate documentation and data. You manage GST audits, assessments, and departmental inquiries.
- You secure timely GST refunds under inverted duty structure and export schemes. You mitigate accumulation of Input Tax Credit (ITC) and optimize working capital. You also provide GST advisory support to business teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
- You manage assessments, audits, and litigations across all tax domains, including Direct Tax, Transfer Pricing, GST, Customs, Excise, VAT, CST, Service Tax, and Entry Tax.
- You prepare, review, and file submissions, replies, appeals, rectifications, and stay applications before tax authorities and appellate forums.
- You track and monitor all tax disputes using litigation trackers, including contingent liability reporting.
- You drive automation and process improvements using SAP and other digital tools. You develop and maintain tax MIS and dashboards for management reporting.
- You identify and implement tax-saving opportunities within the legal framework. You also provide tax outlay and provisioning inputs to the FP&A team.
- You have 10–14 years of relevant experience and hold a Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification.
- You bring hands-on experience in GST compliances, including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9/9C filings, reconciliations, IMS and ISD, and advisory support on complex GST matters.
- You demonstrate a strong ability to secure GST refunds under inverted duty structure schemes and effectively manage and optimize ITC.
- You have exposure to Excise, Service Tax, VAT, CST, and Entry Tax, particularly in handling ongoing assessments and litigations.
- You possess significant experience in managing tax assessments and litigations across direct and indirect taxes, including representation before tax authorities and courts.
- You have a proven ability to liaise with GST and Customs authorities and coordinate effectively with legal counsels, auditors, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
- You have experience identifying tax-saving opportunities, managing FIN 48 and contingent liabilities, and implementing strong tax risk governance frameworks.
- You have hands-on experience with SAP and other ERP systems, including tax configuration, reconciliations, automation initiatives, and development of MIS and reporting frameworks.
