Job Description

Job description for Manager Taxation

1. Manage and oversee the daily operations of the tax department.
2. Handing GST compliances like computation of monthly GST liability, filing GSTR 1, GSTR 3B returns, reconciliation of ITC with GSTR 2A/2B, Annual Returns (GSTR 9/9C) etc.
3. Manage and work on GST Refunds, handling notices from GST department.
4. Reconciliation of data with returns and books.
5. Income tax related compliances like review of TDS liability, filing TDS Returns, issuance of TDS Certificates, reply to routine notices and advance tax computations etc.
6. Preparation of schedules and coordination with Auditors for Statutory Audit and Tax Audit.
7. Tax Related advisories to stakeholders.
8. Support on tax related filings of Inter-companies outside India.
9. Tax Planning and structuring for both Direct and Indirect Tax.
10. Conduct Quality review of returns.
11. Strengthen internal controls, enhance processes improvements.
12. Develops and maintain a proactive working relationship with clients while delivering agreed upon expectations.
13. Continually examines current processes and procedures to establish process improvements, efficiencies, and group effectiveness.
14. Coordinate internal stake holders for supplying audit requirements & review.
15. Team management and development.
16. Support in annual group reporting and related tax schedules.
17. Review, collect, and analyze data for reports, presentations and correspondence
18. Provide support to the senior management team on tax related advices.
19. Dealing consultants for advisory services and other support services

Support ad-hoc projects that arise during various systems implementations

Qualifications

1. Strong experience in Direct and Indirect Taxation, Finance & Accounts and compliances related to India, ME and other APAC region.
2. Strong analytical and research skills.
3. Should have Service mindset.
4. Strong knowledge of tax compliances and procedures especially related to India and Middle East.
5. Familiarity with group and local reporting requirements.
6. Knowledge on the application of Finance & Accounts systems & Taxation e-filing, returns software's.
7. Strong experience with a variety of tax operations and ability to drive process improvements.
8. Expert in the taxation/ tax audits / tax compliances
9. Ability to work well independently as well as the ability to work well with stakeholders.
10. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
11. We are looking for a candidate with 10 to 12 years of experience in Taxation.
12. Qualified chartered accountant

Knowledge / Technical Skills:

1. Very Good Computer Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint…etc.)
2. Effective & Efficient Communication Skills
3. Ability to Work as an Efficient & effective Team Member Ability to Handle Projects
4. Proficient in Microsoft Office and financial software applications
