About the Role :
We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented professional to join our Finance team as Manager – Taxation & Finance. The role is responsible for managing the Company's direct and indirect tax compliance, tax accounting, regulatory reporting, audits, and litigation while partnering with cross-functional teams to drive finance transformation and process improvements.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Direct Tax, GST, tax accounting, ERP systems, and financial reporting, along with the ability to support strategic finance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities-
1. Direct & Indirect Tax Compliance
Manage end-to-end Direct Tax and GST compliance, including:
Return filing
Tax payments
Reconciliations
Statutory reporting
Ensure timely deduction, deposit, and reporting of TDS, TCS, and other applicable taxes.
Review tax implications of new products, business initiatives, contracts, and transactions.
Coordinate with tax consultants, statutory auditors, and regulatory authorities.
Support tax assessments, audits, notices, and litigation by preparing responses and maintaining documentation.
Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and evaluate their impact on the business.
2. Tax Accounting & Financial Reporting
Ensure accurate accounting of:
Current Tax
Deferred Tax
GST
Other statutory levies
Review tax-related ledger balances and reconciliations.
Support preparation and review of financial statements from a taxation perspective.
Ensure tax provisions comply with applicable Accounting Standards, IND AS, and regulatory requirements.
3. Process Improvement & Tax Governance
Strengthen tax governance through robust SOPs, documentation, and internal controls.
Drive automation of tax compliance, reconciliations, and reporting processes.
Collaborate with ERP and Technology teams to enhance tax configurations and system capabilities.
Ensure tax-related master data and ERP configurations remain compliant with applicable regulations.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and compliance across tax processes.
4. Finance Operations & Cross-functional Support
Support month-end and year-end financial closing activities.
Participate in finance transformation, ERP implementation, automation, and process improvement initiatives.
Assist in preparation of MIS reports, management dashboards, and board or regulatory submissions.
Partner with Accounting, Treasury, Business, and Compliance teams on finance-related initiatives and projects.
Provide support on accounting, treasury, regulatory reporting, and other finance functions as required.
5. Audit & Regulatory Compliance
Support Internal Audit, Statutory Audit, Tax Audit, and regulatory inspections.
Ensure timely closure of tax and audit observations.
Maintain accurate documentation and audit trails for all tax-related transactions and compliance activities.
Ensure adherence to applicable tax laws, accounting standards, and internal governance policies.
Candidate Profile
Education
Chartered Accountant (CA) preferred
Additional qualifications in Finance or Taxation will be an advantage
Experience -
4–8 years of relevant experience in:
Direct Tax
GST
Tax Accounting
Finance & Regulatory Compliance
- Experience in Financial Services, FinTech, Broking, NBFC, or Banking will be preferred.
The successful candidate will be expected to:
Ensure zero material tax compliance defaults or regulatory penalties.
Deliver timely and accurate Direct Tax, GST, and TDS/TCS compliance.
Successfully manage tax notices, assessments, and litigation matters.
Maintain accurate tax provisioning and reconciliations.
Ensure timely closure of audit observations and regulatory actions.
Drive automation and continuous improvement in tax processes.
Contribute effectively to finance transformation and cross-functional initiatives.
