Position Summary:
Responsible for but not limited to preparting and managing timely annual 1099 and 1042 tax filings. Maintaining the enterprise-wide vendor master list. Managing the agency financial services department which is responsible for agent commission payments. Production of adhoc month-end entries as well as reconciliations. Partners with other departments and accounting guidance.
Position Responsibilities:
- Annual 1099 and 1042 filings via 3rd party service provider Sovos
- Tin Matching / B-Notices
- Responses to IRS / Abatement letters / CP2100 responses
- Tax Withholding registrations and filings
- Manages Enterprise-Wide Master Vendor Listing
- OFAC compliance reporting
- Agent Commission responsibilities
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or relevant field
- At least 6 years’ experience of finance or accounting experience with 1 year of leading or mentoring staff
- Previous experience in Property and Casual Insurance
- Proficiency in Workday is preferred
- Excel proficiency is required
- Access skills preferred
