Position Summary

CEC is seeking a highly collaborative, dynamic Talent Acquisition Manager to join our growing HR team.  Reporting to the Director, Talent Acquisition this position requires an experienced hands-on people leader to strategically ensure we source and hire the best possible talent for the office side of the recruitment funnel.  Engaged daily this critical role manages the performance and development of the office recruiting team.  In addition, supports office leadership to fill open positions, this role sources, screens, and presents offers for our professional roles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of recruiters while simultaneously performing full cycle recruiting for professional office positions.
  • Partner with hiring managers to collaborate and guide interview workflow, interview questions, and provide consultation regarding recruitment process.
  • Manages job openings, sources, screens, interviews, negotiate and extends offers.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of recruiters to drive consistent performance and growth.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships across the company’s national and global footprint.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including HR, operations, and leadership to align talent strategies.
  • Establish clear expectations, metrics, and accountability across the team.
  • Provide ongoing feedback, mentorship, and career development planning.
  • Foster a high-performance, collaborative, and service-oriented team culture.
  • Identify and assist in implementing efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies including sourcing, branding, and market intelligence.
  • Build networks of passive candidates in advance of delivery.
  • Identify channels and platforms to attract quality candidates.
  • Make process improvement recommendations. 
  • Performs other duties as needed to support projects, operations, and the department.
Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Skills & Abilities

  • 5+ years of experience as people leader with direct reports.
  • 5 + years’ successful experience in recruiting and staffing.
  • 5 + years of experience recruiting office professional roles within the construction and electrical construction industry.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
  • Experience with using ATS for key performance indicators and reporting. 
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions while meeting time sensitive deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Enjoys working on a team and is a true team player.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A positive, can-do attitude and passion for recruiting and the Company.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.

  • Requires mobility within an office environment. 
  • Regularly required to talk and hear. Effectively communicate with others both written and orally, including using the telephone. 
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. 
  • The employee may be required to walk; reach with hands and arms; and bend. 
  • May be required to stoop, kneel, and crouch.   Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.  
  • Possess good hearing, normal or corrected. 
  • The employee must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. 
  • The employee may be required to climb stairs. 
  • Must be able to work 8 hours a day, 40 hours per week, and overtime as required and night or weekend shifts, as needed.
