Job Summary:
Responsible for the design, management, security, and optimization of enterprise on-premises and cloud infrastructure. This role oversees datacentre operations, virtualization platforms, identity and access services, networking, cloud deployments, licensing, and vendor partnerships while leading technical teams and ensuring high availability, security, and compliance across the organization.

The role is responsible for designing, operating, and evolving the organization’s on-premises, hybrid, and multi-cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, security, compliance, and cost efficiency across all platforms. This role oversees datacenter operations (servers, storage, VMware/Hyper-V), identity and core services (Active Directory, DNS, PKI, NPS), endpoint management and monitoring (SCCM, SCOM), and enterprise collaboration platforms (Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint), while architecting and managing cloud workloads primarily on Microsoft Azure with additional responsibilities across AWS and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. The position leads secure hybrid and multi-cloud architectures, cloud networking (WAFs, load balancers, VPNs, peering), licensing and vendor partnerships (especially Microsoft), and governance initiatives, while supporting audits and risk mitigation. As a senior leader, this role mentors and manages infrastructure and cloud engineering teams, drives operational excellence and documentation, and collaborates closely with stakeholders, vendors, and executive leadership to align infrastructure strategy with business objectives.
Required Skills:
- Manage and maintain on-prem datacentre servers, storage systems, and virtualization platforms including Hyper-V and VMware
- Ensure high availability, performance tuning, capacity planning, and disaster recovery for critical systems
- Oversee backup, patching, lifecycle management, and infrastructure security
- Administer and support Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, KMS
- Manage Enterprise Certificate Services (Domain CA) and public certificate lifecycle
- Administer Network Policy Server (NPS) for authentication and authorization
- Deploy and manage SCCM (Configuration Manager) and SCOM for endpoint management and monitoring
- Architect, deploy, and manage cloud workloads primarily in Microsoft Azure, with additional responsibilities in AWS and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
- Design and manage cloud networking components including:
- WAFs, Load Balancers, Gateways, App Services, etc.
- Site-to-Site VPNs, peering, and hybrid connectivity
- Implement secure hybrid and multi-cloud architectures
- Administer Microsoft 365, including Teams and SharePoint
- Manage identity integration, security controls, governance, and compliance
- Support collaboration platform adoption and optimization
- Own organization-wide Microsoft licensing (workstations, server, cloud, and Office 365)
- Ensure license compliance, optimization, and cost management
- Manage strategic partnership and engagement with Microsoft
- Ensure infrastructure aligns with security best practices and organizational policies
- Support audits, compliance requirements, and risk mitigation initiatives
- Lead, mentor, and manage infrastructure and cloud engineering teams
- Drive operational excellence, documentation, and process improvements
- Coordinate with stakeholders, vendors, and leadership on strategic initiatives
Experience
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in managing on-prem datacentre systems and infrastructure, with at least 5 years of experience in managing cloud services.
- Preferred candidates will have 10+ years of experience with datacentres and 7+ years with cloud services.
- Experience in large enterprise or multi-region environments
Education/Qualification:
- Microsoft certifications (Azure Architect, M365, Windows Server)
- Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in IT or Computer Science
- Preferred: Master’s Degree in IT or Computer Science
