Position Summary
The Manager of Supply Planning will be responsible for the end-to-end ownership of core global supply chain processes; including supply and inventory planning to support the demand plan, as well as production and installation capacity management to improve cash flow and maintain supply continuity. Documenting core supply planning processes, generate process flows while defining roles & responsibilities with key supply chain partners will be critical to success. The Manager of Supply Planning will also create and maintain analytical forecast models, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from sourcing, procurement, operations, and other sources.
The Manager, Supply Planning needs to have the ability to analyse and model various demand/supply scenarios using available data and key assumptions as well as resolving supply/inventory issues for various products in collaboration with supply chain partners, operations, procurement, engineering, and finance. This position requires that the individual possess a strong understanding of the procurement and planning processes and is capable of troubleshooting process failures and drive continuous improvement.
As the business continues to evolve and grow, the Manager of Supply Planning will be responsible for developing tools and capabilities that support Light & Wonder’s strategic imperatives and transformation objectives that drive forecast accuracy as well as profitability and efficient cash flow. Specific experience with developing and documenting processes, leveraging ERP systems, and implementing advanced planning systems are essential.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development and documentation of supply planning processes.
- Analyze and anticipate global market trends utilizing demand plans and through scenario planning to appropriately size markets and safety stocks of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
- Continue developing the global supply plan to improve forecasting and communication with suppliers to ensure production continuity against short- and long-range plans.
- Develop and execute supply planning strategies that support revenue growth, minimize risk of E&O, while balancing priorities of service level, inventory, and operational efficiencies within a quarterly planning horizon.
- Drive planning and process improvements to enhance and implement best practices across the supply planning functions, to improve and optimize flows, reduce risks and raise quality levels.
- Identify supply risks and develop mitigation plans and recommendations for corrective action to secure supply and service levels. Identify and communicate constraints that may impact the achievement of the business demand.
- Monitor gaps between the demand and supply plans and develop escalation process to achieve cost and revenue objectives.
- Interact with people in both business and technical roles to create specifications and resolve issues with an eye toward continuous improvement. The Manager Supply Planning works across departments and functional lines on a variety of programs that range in scope and complexity.
- Develop tools to assist with make/buy decisions and future modeling.
- Analyze and recommend appropriate safety stock and surge stock levels.
- Track and analyze forecast accuracy metrics and measurements to determine and minimize root causes of supply chain error.
Qualifications
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent management experience.
- 3-5 years of supply chain, business intelligence, forecasting, or planning experience.
- APICS, CPIM or CPM certification preferred.
Experience, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience with system configuration, testing, implementation, and end user support/training
- ERP systems and building/developing reports.
- Advanced Planning Systems (Anaplan/Logility/Kinaxis)
- Excellent Excel and report development skills as well as the ability to manage large data sets.
- Ability to collaborate with finance, product development, project management, and global supply chain partners.
- New product introduction, scenario planning, last-time-buy analysis, and inventory management practices.
- Adaptable to the pace and dynamic nature of the business; process data, information and feedback with speed and communicate outcomes, alternatives and actions plans with appropriate urgency.

- This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
