Manager - Sub ContractingJob Description Summary
Effective management of Material Movements• Ensuring timely material movement from all respective areas like – Inward, Outward, PDI, DPG, and Steam & Heat treatment.
• Ensure timely receipt of material from vendor end.
• Ensure proper, correct material shipment & receipt to & from GKN.
• Ensure timely disposal of scrap & salvage of non-moving / NC parts from all in-house sorting cell.
Job Description:
Maintain Proper Documentation & Ensure Harmonious Relationships with Team Members
- Proper documentation & record keeping of all 57f4 excise challan as per the Excise laws.
- Ensure timely completion of RRs, Approvals & Transport debit notes
- Ensure good housekeeping & 5S thorough out the dept. & also motivate the team members for such good initiatives.
- Ensure that all Sub contracting, GP 12, operations to be carried out as per the defind procedure.
- Effective planning & management of all in house sorting cells in the view of timely completion of monthly production schedule.
- Effective communication with internal customer & active participation in daily urgencies to meet the requirement.
- Effective communication to the sub-contractor for their NC material & necessary support to them also in salvaging the same.
- Ensure all good initiatives; best practices shall be implemented at the shop floor with the help of superior.
Develop & motivate the team members as well as sub-contractors also for cost reduction initiatives & small improvements.
Required Skills and Education
- Diploma in any engineering field ( Mechanical / production is preferably)
- Experience of 6- 8 years in automotive industry & must have experience in machining processes.
- Knowledge of IATF 16949/ OHSAS & ISO 14001 are mandatory.
