The Manager, Stakeholder Engagement is responsible for the day-to-day planning, coordination, and delivery of enterprise engagement initiatives and high-profile events. This role ensures execution aligns with strategic objectives while coordinating closely with internal partners to integrate schedules, messaging, and logistics.

The Manager focuses on implementation and coordination—and supports Directors and senior leaders by driving engagements from concept through execution. events and activities.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Duties)

  • Manage planning and execution of assigned enterprise events and engagement experiences.
  • Coordinate engagement logistics, timelines, agendas, and staffing across departments.
  • Serve as primary operational point of contact for cross-functional partners.
  • Ensure consistency in experience design, messaging alignment, and mission integration.
  • Maintain detailed project plans, run-of-show documents, and post-event evaluations.
  • Identify risks or execution issues and escalate appropriately.
  • Support immersion experiences by coordinating with Field Operations.
  • Supervise vendors.
  • Track budgets, contracts, and compliance in accordance with organizational policy.
  • This is an in-person position located in Arlington, VA.

Job Specifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in or related field required.
  • 5+ years progressively responsible work experience, including 1+ years in a supervisory capacity. Prior experience in a charity, not-for-profit, military, multicultural and/or global organization preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service and problem-solving skills. Ability to interact with USO Leadership, the general public and military audiences at a variety of levels with integrity and professionalism. Ability to manage and influence external vendor relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment related to controversial and/or culturally sensitive subjects. Ability to handle confidential information with tact and poise.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives with competing deadlines.
  • Professional communication skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Must show initiative, self-motivation, and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities. Ability to quickly and easily adapt to changing organizational needs.
  • Ability to achieve desired results while working collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain proper credentials necessary to access USO Center locations and facilities including but not limited to security, credit and/or background screening, SOFA status, valid driver’s license.
  • Must be a strong advocate of the USO’s mission.
