If you were in the Manager, Sustainability -Sourcing role now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:
- Collaborating with stakeholders in the development and execution of Arc’teryx’s supply chain environmental impact programs with a heavy emphasis on progress towards our Scope 3 emissions reduction goals
- Connecting our sustainability goals, objectives and KPIs with overall business objectives and sourcing strategies
- Establishing, coaching and guiding a high-performing team to achieve our sustainability goals
- Identifying and evaluating suppliers based on sustainability criteria such as environmental impact, social responsibility, and ethical practices
- Developing relationships with suppliers to implement sustainability initiatives and drive improvements in their sustainability performance
- Supporting Vendor Sourcing on researching and identifying suppliers with good sustainability practices, including renewable energy program, eco-friendly manufacturing and social responsibility
- Collaborating with Sustainability Team and other internal stakeholders to develop sustainable and responsible procurement policies and guidelines
- Establishing Arc’teryx key performance indicators to measure the sustainability performance of suppliers and the overall sourcing function
- Analyzing data to identify areas for improvement and develop Arc’teryx strategies to address gaps in sustainability performance
- Upholding Fair Labor Association’s Workplace Code of Conduct and Principles of Fair Labor and Responsible Sourcing throughout the Arc’teryx supply chain
- Working closely with the Amer Sports Global Sourcing Vendor Sustainability team on quarterly business reviews and training/capacity building
- Adhering to negotiated lead times and balanced annual capacities to expedite responsible purchasing practices as outlined in the Responsible Sourcing Policy

- Contributing to the development and execution of our climate roadmap within the scope of supply chain
- Developing a differentiated sustainability roadmap for each supplier in support of our supply base’s drive towards industry leading environmental and social labor practices
- Assessing and mitigating sustainability-related risks within the supply chain
Are you our next Manager, Sourcing - Sustainability?
- You have a Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Supply Chain Management or Engineering
- You have 5+ years experience in procurement, supply chain management or sustainability including 3+ years’ experience in people leadership
- You have a strong understanding of sustainability principles, regulations, and best practices
- You have strong digital dexterity, including the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and leverage data
- You have proven business acumen and analytical skills to make data-driven decisions
- You have excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills
- You are a change agent in setting a clear vision, aligning stakeholders around common objectives, and fostering commitment to these objectives
- You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions
- Your passion for sustainability is paralleled by your passion for getting outside and living it
