Position Summary

The Manager of Solutions Engineering will be responsible for leading a team of Solutions Engineers and driving product implementation and Customer Satisfaction through driving and managing the technology implementation of our SaaS software. This role will provide a broad range of expertise to analyze, propose change, and determine its effectiveness from the perspective of the customer. At each phase, the manager must be able to identify and remove technical barriers to implementing the software. The manager must excel at articulating the technology and product positioning to both business and technical users. Finally, the Manager of Solutions Engineering must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the implementation cycle and promote customer satisfaction.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a highly effective and productive Solutions Engineering team while exemplifying the core values of the company
  • Own all team hiring and training needs and provide exceptional onboarding experience for new team members
  • Provide effective leadership and guidance to the Solutions Engineering team, setting expectations, conducting performance evaluations, and fostering a high-performance culture
  • Drive process improvements and regularly seek out team member feedback
  • Achieve or exceed both challenging personal and team goals and daily activity targets
  • Translates customer requirements into technical specifications and requirements
  • Give technical product expertise and recommendations to customers and partners while developing the role as a trusted technical advisor
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other Solutions Engineering teams, Sales, Systems Integration, Engineering, Support, Product Management, and Customer Success to align strategies and goals and effectively complete projects
  • Gather business requirements and establish technical specifications for the client's customized solution
  • Manage complex and large-scope client projects that require more in-depth solutions
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
  • Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and implementation plans, including risk mitigation
  • Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members
  • Establish and maintain relationships with relevant client stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes
  • Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels and escalate issues, as necessary, according to the project work plan
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or in a similar field, or equivalent work experience
  • 6+ years of experience in Technical Sales in the Tech industry, preferably supporting SaaS products
  • 6+ years Network/LAN/System administration experience
  • 2+ years of experience in business process automation or document management
  • 2+ years experience as a manager of people, leading and inspiring employees and teams to deliver high-quality work
  • One or more industry-specific certifications
  • SQL\Scripting\Coding is a plus

  • Experience with ECM or other document management systems is a plus
