Job Responsibilities:
- Manage multi-site SW development teams through Phase-Gate new product development (NPD) process
- Manage and develop SW project timelines based schedules.
- Develop Software Requirement Document (SRD) capture from customer and product scope
- Conduct regular team meetings and carry out communication with internal and external parties
- Provide regular project reports showing status of each program in development and maintain effective communication with program stakeholders such as suppliers and ODM.
- Track progress of cost, budget and timing of program from SW perspective, reporting any variances and suggesting ways to bring program back to plan.
- Planning, executing and monitoring development projects in accordance with the defined software/product development model
- Coordination of development activities in all of Harman’s various departments, including cross-functional team, product management team, product compliance, quality and manufacturing.
- Relentlessly execute project plan to meet schedule commitment
- Ongoing risk management evaluating the risk and taking the necessary actions
- Timely escalation to senior management team when there is a major issue that would significantly impact program schedule, cost and quality which is beyond what the project team is capable of resolving
Basic Qualifications:
- BS or MS in Engineering or Computer Science disciplines.
- Min. 6-8 years experience in Software development industry.
- Min. 3-5 years experience in Software Project Management role.
- Deep understanding of Software development experiences of audio product range (BT and WiFi speakers; Soundbar dev/QA experience preferred) and IoT connected products is an advantage.
- Knowledge of audio and video product IP technical specifications and certification requirements such as BQE, WiFi, HDMI, Dolby, DTS, Spotify, Google cast, Amazon protocols etc.
- Analytical and pro-active decision making. strong troubleshooting skills on problem solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Communicate very clearly and succinctly (in English) to internal and external stakeholders on all technical and non-technical matters to persuade and influence.
- Comfortable with fast-paced and multitasking environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified project management and/or agile project management is preferred
