Lead Manager
We are seeking a Data Engineering Manager to lead the design, build, and scale of enterprise data platforms. This role combines solid technical leadership with people management, delivery ownership, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring alignment to business outcomes and enterprise standards.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage teams delivering scalable data pipelines and platforms
- Drive data engineering architecture across ingestion, transformation, and consumption layers
- Own ETL/ELT pipelines and Python-based API development including Spark/PySpark patterns
- Establish CI/CD and DevOps practices including testing, monitoring, and automation
- Own delivery as Technical Project Manager - planning, risk management, and execution
- Partner with business stakeholders ensuring solid customer engagement and alignment
- Drive conflict resolution, issue management, and cross-team collaboration
- Ensure data quality, security, governance, and operational excellence
- Mentor and develop engineering talent and promote best practices
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regard to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- 9+ years of experience in data engineering, backend engineering, or platform engineering roles
- Hands-on experience with Python, Scala, or Java
- Experience with distributed data processing frameworks (e.g., Spark or equivalent)
- Experience building and operating data solutions on cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
- Experience with version control, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices
- Solid proficiency in PySpark and Python and experience with data modeling and performance optimization
- Solid understanding of data warehousing, data lakes, and analytics ecosystems
- Solid stakeholder management and technical project management skills
