Manager, Software Engineering
We have an opportunity for a Manager, Engineering to join our Universal Asset Insights team in Burnaby, BC, reporting to the Senior Director, Engineering. This role blends hands-on technical leadership, people management, and strategic vision to drive the innovation & development in Universal Asset Insights (UAI)
UAI provides SaaS based Cyber Asset Attack Surface Management (CAASM), which includes Asset visibility & security gap analysis of On-prem & Cloud assets. UAI automates the discovery and analysis of both IP and non-IP-based assets across public clouds, on-premises networks, IoT/OT devices. UAI CAASM product integrates with Infoblox Threat Defense, CTEM & DDI Solutions.
In this technical, hands-on leadership role, you will guide a team of engineers working on the design, development, and productization of the Asset Insights Data pipeline, Reporting & Analytics engine. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will be a critical contributor to the evolution of Infoblox’s next-generation security solutions. You are the ideal candidate if you are a great collaborator, strategic thinker, operate independently, and are deadline and results-driven.
Be a Contributor — What You’ll Do
- Provide technical direction to a team of developers and leads
- Design, development, productization of the Asset Insights data pipeline, reporting & analytics engine
- Deliver highly scalable, reliable Saas software solutions from concept to release
- Drive all phases of development, including requirements, design, implementation, testing, documentation & release
- Leverage Agentic Framework to enhance productivity & reliability
- Mentor and grow junior engineers while monitoring daily tasks and initiatives
- Manage customer issues, escalations & SLA commitments
- Partner with cross-functional Product and Engineering teams across time zones & roles
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and best practices
- Lead engineering teams in the delivery of MCP-compliant agentic systems, with a focus on deploying autonomous digital agents that securely expose asset insights and programmatic API capabilities to external customers.
Be Prepared — What You Bring
- Minimum of 12 years experience in SaaS based software development & delivery, including 2 or more years of experience managing and mentoring teams with diverse skill levels in an agile and fast paced environment
- Experience building products delivering high-volume data pipeline using distributed systems, micro services architecture and technologies like Kafka and Spark
- Solid programming experience with Golang, C, or Java; Python and Spark are a plus
- Proven track record of shipping highly scalable & reliable software in a SaaS environment leveraging Kubernetes, Cloud like AWS, GCP & Azure
- Proven expertise applying agentic and AI‑driven frameworks to elevate engineering productivity, optimize performance, and strengthen system reliability
- Solid understanding of Unix/Linux, Databases - relational, time-series, NoSQL
- Solid understanding of building pluggable & extensible frameworks using low-code/no-code concepts
- Proficient with cloud APIs from AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI, IBM Cloud, and similar platforms
- Good understanding of DNS, IPAM, networking concepts like Switching, Routing & Other Data Center & Cloud Technologies
- Experience leveraging Agentic Frameworks for productivity, performance & reliability improvements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering; master’s degree preferred
- Desirable: Prior experience with network monitoring, diagnostics, and automation using interfaces like SSE, gNMI, gRPC, SNMP, REST, NETCONF, etc.

One Year: After one year, you will be a cornerstone of technical leadership within the core UAI team. Your role will expand to defining, designing, delivering, and maintaining innovative AI agentic products including developing an agentic asset insights product where autonomous agents consume asset inventory via programmatic APIs, using AI for enhanced observability, policy enforcement, and adaptive security
