Overview
Be part of MasterCard's Decision Management Platform, which serves as the decisioning engine for multiple business solutions to combat fraud and validate cardholder identity. Our patented Java-based platform processes billions of transactions per day in tens of milliseconds using a multi-tiered, message-oriented approach for high performance and availability.

The Manager role is responsible for leading Agile Feature teams collaborating with teams across the company to implement new data solutions while maintaining the stability of the platform. You’ll work within the Fraud Data Engineering team to grow their knowledge and expertise. You will get the chance to work with extremely large data sets and be on the cutting edge of transforming the way Mastercard captures, processes, stores and visualizes transactional data.
The ideal candidate is passionate about both understanding the customer & the business, and also working with technology teams to deliver working solutions.
Primary Responsibilities
• Overseeing analysts and programmers who collect and analyze data
• Designing and implementing reporting: Planning, coordinating, and supervising the design, development, and implementation of reporting and analytics
• Analyzing data: Researching, gathering, and analyzing data to provide solutions to business issues
• Creating reports: Generating reports, creating data visualizations, and presenting research findings to upper management
• Responsible for planning, developing, and executing projects to meet business needs.
• Understand the systems scope and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member, in order to effectively lead the project team and ensure that business needs are met.
• Ensure timely and accurate communication with project staff and key stakeholders throughout the life cycle of the project.
• Regularly communicate to management regarding the status of specific project deliverables.
• Identifies key barriers to a projects or departments success and actively manages all mitigation activities.
• Prioritize and provide input into cross application/system enhancements, new products, processes, standards or plans in support of the business.
• Effectively deal with and develop solutions to moderately difficult problems.
• Provide technical support to Business Owners during implementation of new products/services.
• Determine development impacts to current processing and work with analysts and engineers to ensure accuracy of enhancements.
• Document and coordinate audit controls and PCI requirements.
• Provide strategic thinking and leadership related to a wide range of applications and systems, or software-development methodologies
• Continuously engage and improve teams’ performance by conducting recurring 1-1 meetings, knowing your people, managing career development, and understanding who is at risk
• Provide and facilitate timely feedback, coaching in the moment, and mentoring for staff at all levels
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
• High-energy, detail-oriented and proactive with the ability to function under pressure in an independent environment.
• High degree of initiative and self-motivation with a willingness and ability to learn and take on challenging opportunities.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong relationship, collaborative and organization skills.
• Technical proficiency - BI managers need to be proficient in BI tools and platforms like Qlik, Tableau, Power BI, or SQL to create reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
• Strategic direction - BI managers set the strategic direction for the BI function and develop and execute a BI strategy that supports long-term business goals.
• Market analysis - BI managers identify market opportunities and translate them into actionable recommendations for the organization

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
