Reporting to the Director, Software Engineering, the Manager, Software Engineering will be responsible for providing strong technology leadership, presence, and direction for our engineering functions to support our strategic initiatives within TigerConnect's global business.
As the Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers in Mexico in the development and maintenance of TigerConnect's Clinical Collaboration Platform. You and your team will gather and anticipate future architectural requirements and identify changes needed to our technology stack to support future requirements. You'll also partner with product management, quality assurance, and infrastructure teams to continuously evolve the platform.
What You'll Be Doing:

  • Manage an engineering team in Mexico, providing leadership, coaching, and mentorship to enable high-quality work and strong team performance
  • Hire, coach, motivate and lead team members and organizations to help reach their optimum performance levels
  • Participate actively in developing and executing the product & engineering roadmap to increase business capabilities, improve software stability, and reduce time and cost of delivery; this includes being available for on-call support at times
  • Work closely with the development team to build and maintain robust and scalable software solutions, ensuring high-quality code and adherence to coding best practices
  • Partner with other engineering leaders to establish engineering practices around instrumentation, unit testing, and telemetry to support our product roadmap considering external trends and competitive advances
  • Identify, prioritize, and manage risks related to the platform and ensure appropriate measures are taken to mitigate or eliminate those risks
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory compliance standards, including data privacy and security requirements
  • Maintain service levels and execute on continuous improvement of the existing systems while consistently ensuring quality deliverables


What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • At least 7 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a management role
  • Strong technical background in software engineering, with a focus on scalable Cloud platform architecture and engineering best practices; AWS experience preferred
  • Experience managing agile engineering teams, with a focus on team development, performance, and productivity
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different teams and departments; English language fluency
  • Experience with regulatory compliance standards, such as HIPAA is plus
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Experience with Erlang or Elixir programing language preferred
